I couldn't believe and saw a real demon it wanted my sole my life I had to be brave and strike it to ashes, it felt like I knew what to do before Jace told me, I like I had done it all before Jace was still a bit weak but I did almost kill him with an ice strike he said "come here you" I blushed and went to him he pulled me into a hug I felt something on my neck like a burning sensation but I just ignored it Jace put his had where the burning was I felt drousy he said "Lorem ipsum (forget)" My head tipped back and my mind went blank, I heard Jace's voice it sounded distant I didn't understand what he was saying so I just mumbled at him, I woke up and my eyes were adjusting to the brightness of my room I saw Jace laid next to me I snuggled up to him as I did he rapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to him I felt safe with him I was nicely dropping off to sleep when Jace jolted up got out of bed and headed down stairs as he was getting up I heard something drop on the floor as I looked it was a piece of metal twisted it has markings on but nothing else's no buttons nothing I put it in my pocket Jace came back upstairs with some sort of crystal bars he put them at the end of the bed and felt his pockets "where the steel?" I said "what you talking about?" he said "it's metal twisted and it had markings also can do other things anyway where is it" I put my hand in my pocket like nothing was wrong then my whole pocket started glowing I took it out and said "is this is I was going to give you it back" he snatched it and said "you should never touch this ever".
It was lunch time and I wasn't hungry so I sneaked to the basement and practiced my ice skills I made it might sound silly but snowmen appear for my target dummies and I made ice weapons such as sword, daggers, staff and bow + arrows I decided to use the sword I made it like a duplicate of Jace's dagger but made it longer I started to run towards the targets I aimed for the heart or the head after I destroyed them I made more appear but used a bit more ice and used the bow and arrows I smoothed out a line where I could stand and shot each one dead on target, the final test I wanted to do was with the staff I made it longer and sharpe on the point I kept practicing till there was just snow on the floor, I was sharpening up my daggers for the next training day I have alone when I heard a noise I prepared myself the footsteps got closer I was ready as it got to the bottom step I leaped and had my dagger at its neck Jace said "it's me Angel" I said "sorry sort of all went to my head" he said "it's okay nice move by the way" I said "well you got to learn from somewhere" he said "may I look at one of your runes please'' I said "sure" he moved my hair I said "there no rune there Jace I can't draw there" he said "I know but I wanted to check" Jace quickly said "will leave you to it by the way I'm going to spend a couple of days at home so I can see my family" I said "sure Jace" I put the daggers back where the other weapons were kept and headed upstairs I knew Jace had left I found a note on the kitchen side
"Angel, I have to go I'm sorry it's so soon but I have to, you have a split rune on the back of your neck which at any moment could give you your memories back of everything if the demon finds that spot you can't stop them it will give a pleasurable feeling try to ignore it but it can become over powering don't let the poison hit your heart otherwise your sole will be taken and you will be no more. Im sorry. Jace x"
I ran to a mirror and it was true I had a split rune then I realised when he hugged me the burning sensation he was putting it there, I heard a grumble I made the sword appear I moved lightly around the house I heard hissing and growling I came to my parents room and it had been untouched since they had left I slowly opened the door to see Jace stood there I said "Jace you know your not aloud to be in here" he said "sorry Angelina didn't realise" I lifted my sword an said "Jace calls me Angel not Angelina" he turned around and I saw him starting to change I ran out of the room and towards the basement it was close behind me I tried everything I could to stop it I was no use I go to the basement and grabbed all my weapons I used my bow and arrows first they just bounced off, I threw my dagger and aimed for the heart no use I made a mark but it healed it self, my sword was no use if my dagger didn't work so I used my staff I used it as a javelin aimed for the mouth it worked but it melted in seconds I was trapped I was picked up and thrown across the basement it shattered my sword and the way I landed made my rune show the demon came up close and said "pure sole, life of one is a life for another" it touched my neck the feeling was amazing I tried to move and fight it but it was no use it felt better if I didn't retaliate to its poison I felt light and almost free what I didn't realise was my sole was being claimed I started to feel a tingling sensation it was going through my body my heart rate became slower and slower everything was muffled I looked around and saw a figure going against the demons my eyes became heavy and I just let them close I saw a white light glowing in the distance was I dreaming or was I dead?
I felt a warm hand touch mine I heard muffled noises I wanted to open my eyes but I couldn't I wanted to speak but my lips wouldn't move I tried to tighten my grip I moved a little but not a lot I heard a muffled voice say "is she going to be okay?" another voice said "we will have to take the rune off her neck I'm sorry Jace but we have to its the only way she can survive" I felt people touching my arms and shoulders then I felt a cold sensation on my neck I could feel my energy slowly building up I tried to move but every time I did a awful amount of pain would strike. Don't know how many days have passed but I started to remember everything that happened Jace telling me he was a Shadow hunter then me defeating a demons with the seraph blade I remember it all I felt the need to move to open my eyes and say something I opened my eyes it worked it was in a strange place that I have never seen before, I saw Jace and said "Jace I remember everything" he said "nice to have you back thought I lost you to the demons since they had your sole in their hands luckily I got there in time" I said "answer me this question how was I out for?" he smiled and said "3 weeks tops" I said "really that long and to be honest I still feel tired" he linked hands with me and said "that's just the medication it will go soon" I smiled as some other people walked in Jace said "this is my family well sort of, my mum Jocelyn and my dad Hodge" I smiled and said "hello" then he showed me the other two people "this is my sister Isabelle and my younger brother Alec" I said "hey" Alec said "you was lucky if it wasn't for Jace coming back you wouldn't of been here" I said "thank you for saving me" Jocelyn said "its part if out family we protect dreamers like you, you keep the world in balance you might no know it but without you the world would be against everyone not just us" they left but Jace stayed and said "you can stay here for a bit just while you get back to your full strength and just to let you know training starts soon so you can defend yourself when I'm not around.
