Fresh dew was on the green grass below them, the tall trees filled with squirels and birds. The rivers flowed gently, the animals merely did their own activities. The sound of water, wind and animals mixed, as if making one beautiful symphony. It was calming, alluring. Even the scent of the forest was stunning. The beauty of nature would never really be topped.

Though one thing was even more beautiful about nature.

Dragons.

Scales that shone as if they were diamonds,

Talons strong enough to uproot a tree,

Horns that curved in fun ways,

Intelligent eyes that glistened in the light,

Wings that made the dream of flying a reality,

They were gentle giants.

One of nature's most beautiful children.

The crystals they had that seemed to be embedded in their bodies were what they were most prideful about. The crystals showed their strength, their power, and most importantly, their rider.

A dragon and it's rider have a very deep bond. So much so that they were able to speak to each other mentally. They didn't even need words to understand what each other felt. It was something like...a mate bond though still different. It was difficult to explain, though every relationship of a dragon and it's rider was said to be deeper than anything.

A girl hummed softly as she felt the wind on her face, her long, golden locks flowing behind her like a small river. She smiled as she looked towards the sky, her dazzling blue eyes sparkling. The sunrise was as beautiful as always. Her warm smile seemed to reach her ears as she gave a pet to her reptillian friend.

'Enjoying the morning breeze?' The dragon asked, gliding gently in the air.

The girl hummed in agreement. 'This just never ceases to take my breath away...I simply love it.' She said, her smile growing wider.

The dragon gave off a large, toothy grin. 'I could say the same.' He said, eyes directing to the amazing view.

Meanwhile a howl was heard from behind.

"Of course we wouldn't forget about you, Claude." The girl giggled at the white wolf behind her, which was surprisingly having a nice trip on the dragon's back.

'You ruined the dramatic moment, Claude.' The dragon huffed.

The wolf simply barked, as if understanding the dragon.

The girl chuckled, 'Oh, Claude just knows when to strike.'

'Whatever.' The dragon said unenthusiastically as it rolled it's icy blue eyes.

The girl enjoyed the next few moments of bliss, listening and looking at nature. Her smile never faded, her dragon doing the same as he flew in the sky- well, it would look like a smile of happiness if it weren't so toothy and rough to the eye. The wolf on the other hand just enjoyed the feeling of the wind, it was something he never felt with just running.

'Faith, can we stop by a village later on?' The dragon asked it's rider, briefly gliding to the side.

'Oh yes. I was just planning on asking you.' She answered.

'I want sweets.' The dragon said.

'Yes, Lite. Yes, you may.' Faith sighed as she rubbed the side of her dragon's neck. She always did find it odd how the scaly beast relishes the sugary treats. If she wasn't his rider- she'd assume he'd be the type to scoff and state that candy is only sugar shaped differently.
