That earned her a chuckle from the other line. 'Well, good morning to you too, princess. By the way, tanghali na po. Where are you?'

"Anong ibig sabihin mong asan ako? Siyempre nasa bahay. Ano bang kailangan mo?" inis na tanong ni Cara sa taong nasa kabilang linya.

'Kailangan kita dito sa school. Bakit di ka pa nakakabihis?'

"Shit."

Kumaripas siya ng takbo pababa ng kanilang hagdan papunta sa kusina habang tinatawan parin siya ni Xavier. Hindi naman niya kasalanan na nakalimutan niyang mayroon palang pasok. May hangover pa ata siya sa bakasyon.

'Rush pa more,'

She growled at the phone. "Shut the hell up before I do it for you. Bakit ngayon mo lang ako ginising?" she asks as she pours herself a mug of coffee. Wala nang time kumain.

'I've been calling your phone for about an hour now. It's not my fault na tulog mantika ka,"

"And it's not my fault na ang ganda ng panaginip ko," banat niya kay Xavier.

'You dreamt of my handsome face, didn't you?'

"Hahaha, handsome your face. I'll see you at school."

"You really did dream of me."

And she could almost hear his smirk through the phone.

She never thought that talking to Daniel Aresso would be so boring. Paulit-ulit nitong sinasabi at ine-emphasize sa kanya kung gaano sila kayaman at kung gaano kamahal ang bago nitong hot dunk na sapatos. She couldn't care less about him, what she wants is his shoes. They sure would look great on her when she dominates the basketball court.

Dali-dali siyang naglakad sa kinatatayuan ni Eugene. Nakangiti ito at nakasandal sa katawan ng Indian Pine na naitanim sa gitna ng isang circular bench. Nakagawian na nilang magkita at mag-usap doon along with another goon na nagngangalang Jacob.
