I Wish

The next day, Niall woke up to smell of bacon. His blue eyes shooting open as he scrambled out of the bed, Liam standing there with a cart full of breakfast food. Niall walked over quickly, stuffing his face as soon as he could. “Ah! Wiam!” He shouted a mouth full of food, the brunette chuckling at the blonde. “Yes, Ni?” He replied, tilting his head. “Wou’re the bwest!” His tone sounded like a child who was just learning to speak properly. Liam just shook his head, grabbing a piece of toast and eating it gracefully, unlike the Irish boy.

After breakfast, Niall jumped back in bed, rubbing his stomach, “Liam… I ate too much…” He groaned. Liam laughed and laid beside Niall, “Well luckily we have the day off. What would you like to do after… ya know… feel better?” He asked. Niall’s pale face flustered slightly as he looked over at Liam. He wished Liam felt the same. He wished Liam knew about his feelings. He wished to have Liam as his own. “Why don’t we go to the movies?” Niall suggested. “And bring the other boys?” Liam chimed. This frustrated the blonde. No, he wanted to be alone with Liam.

Niall must have agreed somewhere because later that night him, Liam, and the other three boys along with Perrie, went to the movies. They decided to go see Insidious, a new horror movie that had just came out. Here was Niall’s time to act scared and cling to Liam. They went and sat down in the theater, Niall making sure he was the only one next to Liam. Half way through the movie Niall did start to get freaked out, his hands clutching the arm rests of the seats. Liam must have noticed because he slowly wrapped his arms around Niall, leaning down to whisper, “It’s alright, mate. It’s just a movie.” Niall looked up at Liam, thanking that it was dark in here. Otherwise his crush would notice his massive, bright red blush. Their faces were so close. Niall wanted to lean in and kiss Liam, but the others were sitting right next to them.  Why did Liam have to be so close? It was making Niall get chills.

After the movie had ended, Liam’s arms parted from the Irish boy’s body, both of them standing. Honestly Niall wanted to keep those arms around him; how he ached for those muscular arms around him. They all piled into a car besides Zayn and Perrie, who went to eat after the movie, they had said. Louis and Harry were punching each other and play fighting in the front seats, causing Daddy Direction to come out. Liam, from the back seat with Niall, sat forward and placed his hands on both Harry and Louis’s shoulders. “You boys know better. Drive safely and you can play fight when we get back to the hotel.” Louis rolled his eyes and Harry apologized for the both of them. Liam sat back with a satisfied smirk on his face, Niall trying to hold back a chuckle.

They had soon gotten back to the hotel, Louis and Liam going to their room, same with Niall and Liam. Niall’s heart beating a bit quickly as he walked behind Liam to the room, his eyes staring at the brunette’s cute butt. Niall wanted to give it a nice tap, but he couldn’t. It most likely would give everything and every feeling had away.

Liam opened the door to the room and let Niall in first, like a true gentleman. Which made his face flame with red blush, like it had all day. There wasn’t a day where Liam didn’t make him blush. The blonde went straight to the bed curling up on it. It wasn’t even dark yet and he was tired. “Hey Ni, since it’s not that late, do you want to take a swim with me?” Liam asked. Sending those cheeks afire, again. Niall nodded, letting out a small grunt as he sat up. “Great! Get changed then.” Liam said cheerily as he grabbed his swimming trunks out of his bag. As Liam was changing he began to hum one of their tunes from Up All Night. “When you walk by I try to say it. But then I freeze and never do it. My tongue gets tied, the words get trapped…” His solo, of course, in ‘I Wish.’ Niall listened to the brunette sing, moving to put on his own swimming trunks, smiling a bit. That’s how he felt about Liam at the moment, he wanted to speak up and tell Liam about his feelings, but he just gets choked up and stays silent.

They headed down the pool after they were both ready, it was empty, perfect. Maybe he could finally tell Liam, since this pool was rather romantic looking. The pools lights looks like small candles lit around it. The room had no other light besides the lights from the pool and the hot tub, and the small, green ‘EXIT’ sign next to the door. It really was a romantic pool. Niall tried to shake off the romance part and grabbed Liam’s hand and ran into the pull, bringing him along. Both of them going under at once, it was dangerous but neither of them got hurt.

Liam came up laughing and so did Niall, the both of them looking into each other’s eyes, taking deep breaths. Just as Niall was about to confess what he had been wanting to confess, Liam splashed him childishly. Niall gasped, laughing as he grabbed a hold of Liam’s buff shoulders and pushed him down under the water. When the brunette came up, he came up too close. Their chests sliding against each other, Liam’s face bumping against Niall’s. Niall almost swore their lips touched, his face reddening. “Leeyum!!” He shouted, trying to break the awkward moment. “Yes, Nialler?” He said with a smirk. Niall wanted to kiss that smug looking face, but he controlled himself and swam backwards, making sure to kick Liam in the process. Liam grinned and grabbed his ankle, pulling him under water. Niall came up shaking his head like a dog, “You okay, Ni?” Liam asked, making sure he hadn’t hurt the blonde. “Of course I am!” He snorted, trying to jump onto Liam but he was caught by Liam’s hands on his hips, holding him up.

It was the perfect moment, blue as ocean eyes staring into brown as chocolate eyes. Niall tried hard to not let the moment encourage himself to kiss Liam. But he didn’t have to worry about it, Liam did it for him. Niall’s body tensed when he felt the wet, yet soft lips of Liam’s crash against his. The brown eyes instantly shut, Niall left with his eyes wide open, staring at the love of his life’s face. He didn’t waste the moment at all, closing his eyes too, soon relaxing and kissing back just as gentle as Liam. Their kiss was small and soft, yet so passionate. The way Liam’s hands held his waist made him feel like the only girl—boy in the world. Wait? Liam was gay too? Or… was this just a trick? Was Liam screwing with him? It didn’t feel like it though, and Liam would never. He was kind hearted and never would do anything to hurt anyone. Just to make sure, Niall pulled back, Liam trying to lean up to press their lips back together. The Irish boy smiled at the reaction, letting them crash back together. The innocent kiss didn’t last long, Liam has Niall to the wall of the pull, pinning him to it and making the kiss deeper. Catching Niall’s lips in between his, Niall’s arms sliding up and around the other’s shoulders, hands clutching the brown locks.

“Ni! Wake up! I thought we were going swimming?” Liam’s voice was distant in his groggy state, just waking up from a nap. Niall already had his shorts on for swimming, Liam too. That was all a dream? No wonder the pool was so dark and romantic looking. Niall swore he felt that kiss, “Ah, yeah. Sorry, Li.” The brunette shook his head, “Seemed like you were having a good dream. Laughing in your sleep and all.” Liam would leave out the part where Niall had yelled, “Leeyum!” in his sleep. The blonde blushed and sat up, “How long did you let me sleep?” he questioned, rubbing his eyes. Liam shrugged, “Few hours I guess. It’s six now.” Niall raised a brow, “Really?! That long!?” The other just nodded, smiling a little at the shocked face of the younger one. Well, only younger by 15 days. Niall walked over and grabbed a hotel towel and wrapped it around his shoulders. “Let’s go, Spoon-boy.” Liam laughed at the ridiculous nickname, grabbing a towel and walking down to the pool with Niall.
