I love you, Mr Ambrose

Oh where oh where is Lilly?

Set at end of book 3- book 4

Let me tell you a little hint. Going for an evening stroll in the pouring rain is not the most pleasant.
But hey, I like to break rules.

I am on my way back from work, on an especially late day, Mr Ambrose decided to make me work late to make up for the fact that I came in late. Ops.

Because of this, I am now stuck outside in the pouring rain.
Oh how lovely. I can hardly see, let alone walk in this weather, and I wonder briefly how long I've been out here, walking in the rain.

A carriage pulls up next to me, and I jump to the side of the path. I peer into the windows, and am just able to make out the taught figure of Mr Ambrose.
"Mr Linton! What are you doing?"
"Walking home sir."
"In this weather? Get in." I shake my head. "I'll be fine sir."

Mr Ambrose narrows his eyes dangerously. "Get. In. The. Carriage." I shake my head again.
He sits there, staring at me in silence. "Very well then, you leave me with no choice."

He leaps out of the carriage, and throws me over his shoulder, then carries me inside.

I sit in the seat of the carriage in shock. What the heck just happened? Mr Ambrose gets a blanket from inside a chest, and thrusts it towards me.

"Here."

I'm touched. Really. It seems a lot has changed since we got back from the jungle. Back then, he hardly would have given me a blanket, let alone saved me from the rain.

"Thank you sir."

"Call me- call me Rikkard, please."

😱He asked her to call him Rikkard! Things must be certainly happening, and very fast!
