"Please, call me Rikkard."
I stare at him in shock. Then I reach for his arm, and pinch it hard.

"Mr Linton!" He snaps.

I smile wryly. Still him. Hm, maybe I imagined it?

He can't have told me to call him Rikkard, surely?

He suddenly glares at me. "Stop staring, it's making me uncomfortable." I grin. "Sorry sir."

Eventually the carriage pulls up at his house, and he promptly picks me up out of my seat and carries me inside.

I scream, naturally. "Mr Linton! Stop that awful racket at once!"

I don't, obviously, and continue to scream. He promptly covers my mouth with his hand, so I promptly bite his hand. Hard.

He curses. I giggle, "Mr Ambrose, that's not a nice word." He scowls.
"You're lucky you're cute." I grin.
"Aw you think I'm cute?" He looks up at me, surprised. I blush.
Whops, no backing out now.

"Yeah, I do." To my surprise, He scowls.
"I am not cute!" He says, gripping my face with his hand, and smashing his lips to mine.

I pull back, breathless. "Well damn, ok."

Hey y'all, so I would REALLY appreciate it if you guys checked out some of my other books, I have a lot, but I just released a new one called The Players Game, which is about a girl named Jessie that is a kickass heroine, that likes to defy stereotypes I guess...

She's firery and courageous, and sort of like Lilly, but she lives in the 21st century.
