Keith sat on the floor across from Shiro. The two boys had gone to Shiro's after school, and were now sitting on the floor across from each other in the dimly lit room. Keith stared at the ground in front of him, furrowing his brow. There were only three days left of school, and only two more days after that until he and Shiro left to go to Garrison. He was so ready to be done with high school, to be done with the people in his town, and most of all, to be done with his dad. Yet at the same time he was terrified. He wasn't ready to go somewhere he'd never been, or take new classes, and he wasn't ready to be forced to meet new people. However, despite the fact he did not want to meet new people, living with the three strangers his friend had told him about had to be better than having a roommate randomly assigned to him. Especially considering he wouldn't just be with the strangers, he would have Shiro, which made him much more comfortable. Shiro studied Keith's expression as they sat there, debating how to approach the situation at hand.

"Whats wrong?" he asked the smaller boy.

"I'm scared," Keith said softly.

"I'm scared of whats going to happen, I'm scared to live with your friend, I don't think I'm ready for this," Keith ranted, his breath quickening. His eyes welled up with tears as he looked down in embarrassment, when a single tear slid down his cheek. Shiro probably thinks I'm absolutely pathetic, Keith thought to himself. The bigger boy leaned forward and grabbed Keith's hand, giving it a light squeeze.

"It's going to be alright, my friend is very kind, and I'm sure their friends are just as great." Shiro said, comforting Keith.

"Besides, I''ll be there too, so if you get nervous you can hide behind me," Shiro chuckled. The Raven haired boy smiled,

"Promise?" he asked.

"Promise." His best friend reassured him. The two boys sat in silence for a few minutes.

"Shiro?" Keith asked, breaking the silence.

"Yes Keith?" Shiro responded, looking up from his phone to meet the other boy's gaze.

"What if they are weirded out by my social anxiety, and they think that it's weird that I'm scared to talk to them?" Keith asked, imagining the people he was going to be living with laughing and making fun of him behind his back. But he wouldn't blame them for not liking him - who would like a pathetic person like him. His negative thoughts were interrupted by Shiro's soft, brotherly voice,

"I'm sure they'll understand. Pidge told me something I wasn't going to tell you, but I think it might put you more at ease," The taller boy sighed.

"One of Pidge's friends has social anxiety, I didn't tell them about your anxiety, but I just thought that it might help you to know that we'll being living with people who have experience with social anxiety, who will be able to relate to you personally. I hope that maybe you'll be able to figure out which one of the it is, and maybe they can help you cope a little better with things. I would really love to see you make at least one new friend at Garrison, if not everyone in the house." Shiro told the other boy. Keith instantly felt better in hearing that the people he would be living with would understand his position. At least they would understand why he won't be able to talk to. Although he really wanted to make Shiro happy by making some friends, but there was no way he'd be able to manage that. Will they think that he's a baby for not being able to handle his social anxiety very well? He wasn't quite sure whether or not he wanted to meet the one who had social anxiety. They probably handle it better than him and would just make him look even more pathetic than he already was. He was sure the other boy had probably already gotten over his and Shiro was just trying to make him feel better. Keith was yet again pulled from his thoughts by the brotherly figure sitting cross-legged across from him,
