When I got home, Daniel was still up and was sitting in the living room watching television.

"You recovered from the sparing session yet?"  I said as I sat down next to him.

"I have a slight headache."  He told her.  "I couldn't go back to sleep."

I looked at Daniel then turned back to the television.

"What are you watching?"

"Some bad 80's movie." Daniel said.  "About aliens invading earth."

We sat side by side watching the movie with bad acting and an even worst script.

"You like these kinds of thing?" I asked after awhile.

"Yea, sometimes.  It helps me relax and zone out."  Daniel told me.  "My mother use to love bad 80's and 90's movies.  We would watch them and laugh at the horribly produced movie while we gorge on junk food and popcorn."

"She sounds nice.  Your mother I mean."

"She was the most kindest and beautiful mother I could ever ask for." Daniel said.  "She always knew the right words to say to make me feel better.  She always knew what to do to show me how much she loved and cared for me.  She wanted to keep me away from all of this, yet still taught me about who I am and where I come from."

"Do you mind me asking how she died?"  I asked him.

"He found us four years ago.  She fought him while giving me time to run away.  He killed her." Daniel said solemnly.

"I'm sorry.  We'll get him."

"Promise?"  Daniel asked.

"One way or another we will."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, go ahead." I said as I settled into my seat.

"Can you tell me a little about yourself and my father?  What it was like to have the same father?  What your second life with him and your coven was like?"

I look at Daniel and saw that he did not have any ill intentions towards me.  He was generally curious about his father's life and my life.  Sighing heavily, I called for Dana to get me several prepackaged blood.  When it was brought out, I opened a bag and poured it into a glass cup.  I then uncorked a bottle of whiskey and poured its contents into the cup of blood.  I stirred up the drink with a straw and poured another glass of whiskey neat for Daniel.

"If we're going to talk about my past, I need some liquid courage for this."  I told him as I handed him his glass of whiskey.  "You might need it too."

Before starting, I gulped down two large mouthfuls of blood and whiskey before I started telling him about my life in the coven.

"You want all of it or do you just want a general, over all explanation?"

"I want to hear all of it, but I'll take what you can give me." Daniel told me.

I look down at my drink before I took another swig of the drink in my hand, then I began to tell him a part of my story.

"I'm not going to tell you my life in detail, but I'll tell you some of it.  When I was reborn, your grandsire and his coven was in the room.  He had brought me back to the coven when he made me.  The coven members were all standing around the bed and chanting.  Your father was still a young man at the time, but I could see the ruthlessness and viciousness in his face.  He couldn't hide his nature no matter how hard he tried.  Your grandsire saw me looking  at your father and saw the hate that your father had on his face.  From the moment on, your father and I were pitted against each other in every way and in every moment.  There was no resting or relaxing.  All we did in the coven is cultivate our powers and fight against one another.  It was a fight and die situation all the time.  A dog eat dog world that I was forced into.  That your father was born in to.  He didn't know any better.  I didn't blame him at first, for he didn't know what else out there was better for him.  But every time he would come at me, trying to kill me, my hatred for him kept on building.  For several hundred years, he would attack me and try to kill me, but he never could.  And every time he failed, your grandsire would rub his lost in his face.  Gloating and praising me while insulting your father."
