I was the first one to take a seat. Belle and Cinderella were right behind me. As we took our seats, I realized that I was leaving my home for the first time ever. I had always been looked at as the disgrace of my family. Being accepted to Hogwarts further proves that. I suddenly started thinking of my life before I left for Hogwarts.

My family was from a small village from China pretty far away from the imperial city. It was a small village. Everyone knew everyone. I was different from my family. I had more brains than beauty and I knew that I wasn't fit to be a bride. I was much smarter than everyone at my school which led me to a lot of bullying. How I was a lot smarter than most girls was beyond me, but I thought that if i was smarter than my entire class, then I could be unstoppable. However, we had to leave China due to the war taking place when I was six years old. Since then, my family moved to England to find refuge. Since then nothing much has changed. 

Now I was here. On the Hogwarts Express. I never thought that I would study magic at Hogwarts. Now that I look at my new friends and realized that this may not be a bad first year. For once, I had friends that actually cared about me.

Authors Note: Hey guys! New chapter on this fine Thursday! As I told you in the last chapter, I wanted to go deeper into the character's personal life. Mulan's was a lot of fun to write and no this is not what really took place in the movie. I wanted to add my own twist on Mulan.
