Chapter 16

Jack:

I cry. I cry and cry and cry. Mark isn't moving. No matter how hard D tries... it won't work.

Then she gets up. In a crying, sobbing, shaking and twitching mess she stands up. "Y-You k-killed h-him. You-You killed my dad!" she says. Her voice is broken and rusty and there are clear tear stains running down her face.

I try to get up and comfort her but I can't move. Not like I'm held so I can't move. My body just won't respond.

"She is gonna kill them," Anti says shocked. "No shit! Why are you so shocked?" I ask. "No, no no! Not like that! She will blow them to pieces! She will die too. You will die. I will die. Death will die, (which is actually kind of ironic.) That woman Lea will die and ALL the other people in this building will die!" Anti says darkly "C-Can we stop her?" I ask scared. "Nope!" he responds

D starts humming one tone and everybody except for herself, Lea and I start shaking uncontrollably before falling. A little blood seeping out of their mouth.

"How the!?" Lea yells running over to a body. "That was my brother!? HOW COULD YOU!?" She yells. Tears fill her eyes. "The exact same way you could kill my dad, Felix, and Cry. Cold. Heartless." D says coldly. Still slightly twitching.

"I'm sorry," D says shocking both Lea and me.

D's left eye goes black hinting that she and Death are both in control.

Here er are again! Just me and you psychopath right?"

"What are you doing?" Lea asks "You don't wanna know" I sigh

"With your "Tanks" and torture devices!"

"You should better be prepared because soon..."

"YOUR LAST HOUR STRIKES!"

"One step left now, it's almost time!"

"Show you what my DETERMINATION has still left for you to get back to!"

"YOU SHOULD PREPARE TO JUST DIE!"

"Like all your friends you'll have a really good time!"

"But girls like you are always just fools!"

"Come at me! Try to kill me with your fancy tools."

"Let's go now the room get's chiller!"

"Let's go just another killer!"

D jumps forwards slamming Lea to the ground choking her before being violently pushed off again. Lea throws a punch hitting D square in the face, sending her backward.

"Go ahead hit me again I see you're able!"

"But inside you know the end can't be evaded"

"I can see you're still not tired out of fighting"

"But I'm not even scared of dying"

A knife flies towards Lea but she dodges. Then another knife and another. Lea dodges them all.

If I didn't believe Anti before, I would have to now! D is going all in.

"Why not let me win? You can't dodge forever!

"Even if the pain is more fun together"

"You know she will just replace me and come back newer"

"And with every try, we're getting even faster than you are"

"we are made of L O V E"

"STOP!" Lea yells running over to me. She pulls out a gun and presses it against my head. "If you keep going I will shoot him!" she threatens.

"L O V E"

D continues but Lea hesitates to shoot me giving D just time enough to run forwards pushing the gun out of Lea's hand, thereby saving my life.

"You're insane!" Lea yells but D just shakes her head. "No, I do this thing! I don't think you know what it means, though. It's called protecting my family! Ever heard of that?" Lea jumps forward with a scream trying to hit D again.

"This is where it stops, this is where it ends"

"But not the way you think and I hope that you will understand!"

"And even if I hear you I won't give up my attack"

"Can you just not see the truth or can you not see what this all meant?"

D shoot and hit Lea in the shoulder. She keeps moving forward D dodging everything.

"Go ahead, hit me again I see you're able"

"But inside you know the end can't be evaded"

"Think that I'll decide to stop you keep threatenin'!?"

"Well, I am getting you with my determination!"

I finally get my body to respond and I quickly run over grabbing Lea's arm right before she punches D.

I kick Lea forward and she tumbles across the floor.

"Please! I beg you! DON'T KILL ME!" Lea begs

"You have ruined too much," D says her eyes completely black now. I don't try to stop her.

"You saw me make your friends all disappear"

"Erasing all that's left, this is why we're here"

"We will keep FIGHTING, you should be DYING, that is your DESTINATION"

D place the gun over Lea's head and looks away.

Death keeps singing.

"we're entirely made of L O V E"

"And we're stronger than you..."

Then they pull the trigger.
