Delier (PoV)

It's already six in the morning when my phone alarm wakes me up. I jumped out of my bed and swiftly make up my bed neatly. It's a good thing you had your own room so you can have your own privacy. Doing some few stretching and light exercises as I feel the sunlight starts to strike my dim room. I can feel the blood rise and circulate in my system as the sweat leaves my body.

"Delier!?" Diego called from the other side of the door.

"Delier, wake up already! Get up! We need to get early to your school. We still haven't got your gown. Go get your breakfast already" Diego shouted while walking farther away from the door. Probably going down the stairway.

"I'll get down soon! I'll just take a shower!" I shouted while I lader the towel to dry my body from the sweat I made earlier doing some exercises.

Preparing my clothes to wear before going to the bathroom is my innate nature. Perhaps one can say I got some disorder. But nope,  I think it's a natural thing. Walking down to the bathroom, I slide the glass door that divides the bathroom into two portion. The dry area and the one who had the shower on.

Rotating the shower knob. The shower head starts to drizzle. I can feel the cold water run down to my chest then to my whole scarred body.

I started to twist the knob for hot water. The temperature soon settles to a warmer and comforting feeling. It helps to heal and fade the fresh wounds perceptible all over my body. Despite seeing my scars and bruise all over my body, I somehow feel the sweetness of life given to me. The mere fact that the pain is the only thing that signifies that I am alive.

Packing everything up, I start to walk out of my room closing the door and walk through the hallway.

Getting down from the stair to the kitchen, I saw Diego sitting near of the center table. Working on his stuff.

"Good morning Diego" I greeted him. He suddenly stares at me momentarily then narrowing his eyes, pouting his lips.

"Call me dad, Del. I might not be your real father but I already adopted you" He explained tsking while he put his head down back to his work.

Diego adopted me when I was a kid along with his wife, Ms. Devorah Copperfield. My parents died in a car accident. We fell from an escarpment cliff edge along the sea coast. Landing in the dark devouring ocean. Engulfing our car from the ocean we landed in the midst of night.

Mom somehow manage to saved me and my sister before the car we embarked in totally drowned. Unfortunately, my dad was unconscious at that time descends to the bottom of the ocean along with our car. Mom try to save him but with the bitter turn of events, She also drowned along with our car. Taking a grasp on my dad tightly, never letting go.

Mom really loves dad. She can sacrifice herself for us. And it prove on how she hold my dad until the end even though she can save her own self.

I stared at our car as it fades slowly. Watching  mom and dad drown. There's nothing I can do but watch and cry.

Before they're completely swallowed by the ocean, Mom's face underneath the blur color dark night of the ocean illuminates and glow. Her face radiates passing to my line of sight.

She tilt her head, focusing on us. Smiling.

A smile of contentment and overwhelming happiness of a mother. Showing her endless care and immense love. Leaving her last request.
