(Chapter Rewritten though there are not many changes in this one)
Akeith:
Things only went down hill for me after my twin's death. Everything was worse, much worse for me, because since I 'won' against my...twin, that meant I moved up in rank...
I shut my eyes tightly before opening them, willing away the memories.
It was hard, dealing with the memories, often times I try to forget completely, but eventually the memories come back, no matter what I did.
Snapping myself out of my thoughts, I walk into the building I will be working at.
A chubby bearded man greeted me.
"You must be Akieth, I'm Thomas the assistant manager, Gregory will be in tomorrow." The chubby man says holding a hand out, I take it and we shake hands.
"What do you need me to do on my first day?" I question.
He smiles nodding.
"Today you will go with Jas to move a couple out of their apartment. Jas is right over there waiting." The man points.
Wow, they waste no time.
So after 2 hours I was sitting in a moving van, as the man, Jas, drove to the place we're moving for. We finally pulled up to a rather nice house, I really didn't know of the details other than the fact a couple's son died extremely recent, and they wanted to move to escape the memories of his death.
Well that's always fun.
Jas, being he is the one in charge of this job, showed me what to do and was the one to converse with the owners of the furniture and what not.
"It doesn't matter how its loaded, just do the best you can, if you get tired feel free to stop in and have a glass of lemonade." The woman says kindly, her voice filled with contained sorrow.
Her gazed fixed on me, and see gave me a sad smile.
"You look just like my son." She says sadly.
That struck a cord, I wanted to know more about her son's death, but I didn't want to push into her private business, because it was just that, PRIVATE business.
"Your curious, aren't you?" She sighs.
I slowly nod, unsure if i should be honest.
"If you do not wish to speak about it ma'am it's fine." I say politely.
She shakes her head.
"Think of it as a warning." She says sadly.
My eyebrows furrow, Jas leaves us to talk, claiming he'll wait until we're done talking, before starting the move.
"My son was murdered just last night, it was by the killer that has been going across the states. I along with my family have all heard of this monster of a man, but never thought he would be here, we were wrong. He killed my son Michael, brutally, h..he left a message in his b...he left a message." She says with a sob.
I shuffle awkwardly.
"Really ma'am if it hurts too much then don't say anything about it." I say scratching my head awkwardly.
She shook her head.
"No, because the message was for someone, and I'm hoping that it will get to this person in time, before HE can find them. I don't care who they are, I don't want them to meet the same fate as my son." She says with a slight waver.
She held her hand up and pulled a photo, it looked to be a part of the crime scene.
Wow, they really worked quick in the crime department. I wonder if she stole the picture or something. I doubt an investigation team would give a gory picture of a mother's child's death to her.
