Chapter 13

Alyssa's POV:

"We can leave whenever you want, we don't have to stay as long as Keaton does if you don't want to. Say the word and we can literally be out in a minute," Jack laughs lightly as we ring the doorbell.

This house is huge. I've never been here before, they would always come to our home in Toronto.

Honestly I'm not very nervous to see Kelly, she was the one in the wrong and she knows it.

My thoughts are interrupted as Kylie opens the door in front of us.

"OMG THATSOJACK!" Kylie screams, basically ignoring the fact that I was there as she hugs Jack.

"Uh, hey," Jack uncomfortably replies, I don't think either of us were expecting this. I had no idea they would even know who Jack is. I hope Kelly doesn't know who he is..

"OMG, come in I can't believe you're here!! Wait, why are you here?" Yeah she definitely doesn't know I'm standing here.

"Well, I guess my beautiful girlfriend," Jack says while wrapping his arm around my waist, "Is cousins with you?"

"Oh hey Alyssa. didn't see you there," Yeah I know..

There she is, right behind Kylie. The girl that ruined my summer before 11th grade. The worst part is, is that we are family, bonded by blood and yet she still did that.

******FLASHBACK******

It is Matts 17th birthday. I'm so excited! He is having a big party at his house and I'm driving over there. I'm going with my cousins Kylie and Kelly because Matt said they could come, he's met them before.

We approach the huge house and walk in. There are already a ton of people here, already drunk. I walk to the kitchen trying to find the birthday boy.

"Hey babe, happy 17th," I say to him when he wraps his arm around my waist.

"I'm so happy I can share this night with you," he replies and then kisses me. We pull away and he tells me he's going to say hi to some more people.

I make my way to the bathroom to recheck my outfit, hair, and makeup to look good for pictures, this is the biggest party of the year.

I leave the bathroom and go look for my boyfriend, I can't find him anywhere.

"Maybe he went outside," I say to myself as I walk out the patio door.

No., no Matthew outside.
