Chapter 17

Kayla's point of view:

It's now five months into the one year trip and I've started school. I'm going to the same school that Rielle goes to. It's called Northview. I met a few new people like Chloe, Jasmine, Caleb, and John. They were friends of Rielle's that she introduced me to and ever since all of us have been practically inseparable. We all hang out plus Nash and Matt. Me and Nash haven't really made any progress in moving forward from like a flirtationship. After we kissed for the second time it seemed like everything paused and nothing came from it. We are just the same, more than friends but less than a relationship. It seems like he's not even really into me anymore because we haven't really hung out by ourselves since I started school, Rielle, Matt, Chloe, Jasmine, John, and Caleb are always with us. Other than the fact of me and Nash going nowhere I've had a pretty good time in New York lately. I've become much closer with my sister and parents.

I heard a buzz that brought me out of my thoughts. It was from Caleb.
C- in the lobby, hurry
K-okay, be there in 2
C-okayyy
I grabbed my purse and walked out the door. As I got to the lobby I saw everybody sitting at the couch. As I apt roaches them they all stood up and we walked out the door. We were going out to lunch and then to a movie because it was the weekend and we had nothing better to do because there wasn't any basketball games at home. Once we got to the Japanese restaurant that had become our normal place to go ,because it was tiny and quite with not many people there, we sat down and ordered. We all had a good time eating and talking about our day. I could feel a pair of eyes fixated on me. I knew they weren't Nash's because he was right in front of me. I casually looked around the table and guessed that they has to be Caleb's. I didn't know why he was staring at me, I mean I checked my face in my phone to make sure there wasn't any food on my face. I tried to ignore the feeling of his eyes burning like lasers on my skin. After we finished our lunch we went to the movies. We were seeing Endless Love, I didn't know how the guys were going to sit through this and not puke. We got to the movie place at a good time. We were kind early so we got a place where all of us could sit by each other. First it went Chloe, Jasmine, Rielle, Matt, John, Caleb, me, then Nash. I didn't know how this movie would go with sitting by Caleb who had been staring at me the whole time during lunch and also sitting by Nash, the guy who I kinda like but he hasn't made a move on me for three months now.
