Kayla's point of view:
I walked to the kitchen to find a person I would never have guessed that would show up at my house. It left me shell shocked. "Hey" he said as he smirked. It was Chris?Chris, or Christopher, is THE most popular and desirable guy. Almost every girl wants him. He's a junior so it makes him even more desirable. He has blonde hair that is just long for him to spike it up at the end. He has dark brown eyes that could make anybody feel lost. I am one of the few girls who don't like him, I mean I liked him when I was younger. But only up until the first grade. It was a terrible experience. I was wearing my favorite outfit. It was a navy sweatshirt with stripped rainbow sleeves. I was wearing my favorite skirt that had Dora's face on the side, I also had my white sketchers with a rainbow bottom on. It was my favorite outfit out of all the clothes I had. During lunch I was sitting alone, I guess he thought it would be funny to dare some kid to spit in my hair but that's not the worst part. After the kid spit in my hair the kid turned around and dared Chris to dump milk on me. Being a little boy Chris was easily persuaded by the chicken card. He just walked up and dumped all over me. After that I ran off to the bathroom and cried my eyes out.
I realized that while I was thinking about him I had forgotten to say anything. "Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked very confused. " I'm here to pick your sister up for bowling" he said while not breaking eye contact. His eyes made me feel very insecure, but thank goodness Ali walked out just in time to save me. "Alright bye" I said while trying to walk away. "Wait why don't you come with us?" Chris asked. "Yeah, come with us? It will be really fun" Ali begged. "Fine, give me ten" I said while walking to my room. I got out of my clothes and put on some skinny jeans and a red and black checker flannel shirt with a black tee shirt underneath. I left the flannel open to give it more of a hipster look. I took my hair out of it's pony tail and just parted it on the side. I slipped my black vans on and walked out to the living room. "Ready?" Ali asked. "Yep" I said unenthusiastically. We shuffled out to Chris's car and I climbed in the back with some boy who I had no idea who he was. There were six of us, three people who I have no idea who they were and Chris, Ali, and me. The entire way to the bowling alley I was thinking about how awful of a night this was going to be.
Once we got to the bowling alley I found out that we were meeting up with a bunch of other people who I had no idea were even in my school. They all got their bowling shoes and split into teams and I decided to find a place to be by myself. I scanned the area and found the eating area which was also part of the arcade. I slipped away from the group not even being noticed, something I'm very used to and glad that it's back that way. I ordered a piece of pizza and a drink. Once I paid I went to a booth in the corner of the arcade because the place was basically dead. I sat down and pulled out my phone. I was scrolling through my Instagram feed while eating my pizza. His face popped up and I aromatically clicked out and locked my phone. It was too much for me to handle right now. I threw my trash away and came back to my booth. I put my back against the wall and sipped on my drink while examining the room. It was completely dead, the only two living souls in here where me and the person running the concession stand. They looked like they wanted to stab themselves in the face because of the pure boredom. I stood up and walked out to a machine of pack-man. I popped a couple quarters in the machine and started to play. It was only half way threw my fourth wound when I realized that someone was behind me and defiantly staring at me. It was the sensation you get when you feel like their eyes are lasers, just watching your every move. I turned around. "What do you want?" I asked with more sass than I meant to. "Just wanted to talk" he said while rubbing his neck. "Okay?" I asked confused while I made my way back to the booth I was sitting in earlier. I plopped down with my back against the wall and laid my feet down the entire side so he would be forced to sit on the other side. "So, what's the problem?" I asked once he took his seat. "I just wanted to know how things are going?" he asked shyly. "Never been better" I lied while putting on a fake smile. "That's good" he said, I was thankful be actually bought that. "Yeah, how about yourself?" I asked only because I didn't want awkward silence. "Oh, I'm fine" he said. " that's great" I tried not to sound mean but I couldn't help myself. "Listen, I can tell you've changed a lot and it's defiantly a good change" he said while kinda smirking. Was he talking about me looking more attractive? "excuse me?" I asked with more sass but this time I was perfectly fine with it. "I can tell New York has changed you" he said while staring me in the eyes, " and I think it's a good change". Did he really just say that to my face. "Thanks, I guess" I said. "If you're ever interested, I would love to take you out sometime" he said. "I'll let you know" I chocked out. With that we walked back to the group, leaving me their with my thoughts. What was that? Is he just trying to get in my pants? I have no idea, it's probably just him being stupid him. I mean he's a player, he can't be any good. Right? And what did he mean by "New York has changed me?". Have I really changed. I decided to clear my mind and just snapchat Rielle. While snapchating her I took a picture of myself in the arcade all by myself and posted it on Instagram with the caption "Loner for Life😑✌️". I thought it was pretty funny because it was very true.
Once Ali and her friends had got done bowling we all piled back into the car and took off for home. On the way home I was still snapchating Rielle. I was taking stupid pictures with the kid who sat in the back with me the last time. I still don't know his name but he seems like an okay kid. The funniest one was when we both scrunched our face and looked like rats. Once we got home I got the kid bye and thanked Chris for the ride. Ali walked through the door with me right behind her. "That was fun" she stated as we walked toward our room. "Yeah, it actually was" I said. Once we got to our doors we split and closed them. Tonight was kinda fun but still the only thing I could think about was Chris saying I had changed. Had I changed?
