Prologue~
"It's quite chilly tonight," the nobleman commented. His companion looked over to him.
"Indeed it is," they agreed.
They walked along the side walk of London. Kicking away rocks that may be in there way. Silence was all that was there aside from the crashing of the distant waves. Perhaps some hollers and cries of the drunks wondering around the streets. Maybe a cat or rat would appear and disappear with in the shadows in which the lights of the lamp post wouldn't light.
As the two men walked, they decided to take a short cut through an ally. Now enveloping inside the darkness of the ally, they were out of sight of witnesses. Rain clouds soon appeared in the sky with the following thunder covering up the gun fires and cries that sprung from the ally in which they entered.
The moon now coming out fully. Revealing the bloody and beaten body's of the two nobleman. No witnesses, no evidence, and no life. Shot twice in the head each, bruises all over, stabbed several times and possessions stolen as well as life.
These incidents occurred for a week. Nonstop killing of noble family's. The yard not finding any evidence but out of the bruises and bullets they suspect pirates from the mysterious seas in which they seek to conquer.
Pirates killing noblemen? Out of sport perhaps? Why noblemen? How did they know what the noblemen were doing? A crew of how many? So many questions the yard couldn't answer.
During the week, Alfred and Mathew Jones were out upon the seas commencing trade as usual or exploring the seas. When they arrived home they found both their parents off in Paris, France. Usually left alone the boys didn't mind. But with these killing of noble family's Alfred suggested protection.
Oh the irony of who would protect the two sons of one of the riches noble family in London.
