Harriet let out the frantic breath she was holding, and there was a smash as the mirror dropped from her clammy hands and fell to the floor, shattering it. Heart racing and head spinning she leaned against one of the shelves for support. Nasuada had taught her many times how to calm herself in times of panic and stress, so she slowed her breathing and cleared her mind, until the vision came rushing back and her heart began to hammer once more. I have to get out of here.
The longer she thought about it the more certain she became that she had just seen a glimpse into her future, she examined the fragments of the mirror, deciding it had been enchanted.

I think you'll find you just came across a dark and forgotten prophecy, I did not mean for you to come across this, but I think someone else did. The silver werecat from earlier approached her, purring.

A prophecy? To kill Nasuada? To burn Ilirea? How is this even possible?

There are many unseen forces at work in this land, and I do not want to see this foretelling to come true any more than you do.

Harriet looked at her desperately, Do these things always come true? Can they be changed?

They... possibly could be from my knowledge, although I'm not sure how.

Harriet paced the room, then stopped, drew herself up and looked at the werecat, I must get away from Nasuada before events begin to unfold. I cannot allow this to be my fate.

She narrowed her eyes at her, That would not solve the problem, but its an intelligent place to start.

Breathing heavily she stared at her hands, faint hope glowing inside of her, the thought of leaving Ilirea and everything she knew was frightening, but she would do anything to avoid what she had seen.
A sense of clarity overcame her. While everyone was distracted during the celebrations tonight, she would take a horse and flee, perhaps toward the Spine, it wouldn't take her more than a few days before she would've disappeared entirely, as they wouldn't know in which direction she left the city.
Harriet! She was snapped out of her thoughts by the werecat's voice, to her surprise she sounded... anxious?
She whirled around, searching for the cat through the labyrinth of chests and towering shelves. She ventured deeper into the treasure room, wanting more than anything to go in the opposite direction.

She turned a corner and came across her sitting before three large open chests, nestled inside of which were the three dragon eggs

She turned a corner and came across her sitting before three large open chests, nestled inside of which were the three dragon eggs. Harriet had been allowed to see them briefly the day before, but now she had time to marvel over their beauty, even in the low light, the surface of the deep pink egg and that of the baby blue reflected any light that hit them, standing out from the chests they were in. She ran a hand over the pink egg, wondering how many years the dragon had been confined inside of it.
Crack.
Harriet's heart stopped and she recoiled, looking at the pink egg, but it remained flawless.
Crack.
She shifted her gaze to the egg on the left that she had barely regarded, and watched as the marbled surface of stormy grey and black was interrupted by a split as long as her finger. The icy blue veins that cobwebbed across it were severed, tiny cracks littering the shell.
Crack.
Harriet swore, a mix of excitement and overwhelming panic shot through her chest. Why was it hatching for her? How would she escape Ilirea now with a dragon hatching with her?
You have to go. Go somewhere private before it hatches.
Not needing further encouragement she gently took the egg in her arms, it was surprisingly heavy and just over a foot long, but nothing she couldn't handle. She walked as quickly as she could, avoiding running so she wouldn't jolt the egg too much. Finally making it back to the silk curtain, she peered into the throne room, confirming it was empty she carried on, squinting in the bright light. Her mind was racing, her quarters weren't far away, but she feared she may encounter people on the way. But she had no other option.
Speeding up slightly from adrenaline, she avoided a set of guards unseen and descended a large staircase. Thanking every higher power she could think of, she reached her door without seeing anyone and slammed it shut behind her, then locked it just to be sure.
She turned and delicately placed it on her floor, in front of her bed where it instantly lurched, and rolled towards her. Seconds later, a large piece fell from the front, a tiny clawed foot clutching the edge of it, and shoving as hard as possible.
Amazement crossed Harriet's face as another piece fell away, then another.
At last the egg split open, pieces of black shell violently flying across the floor. She stared, dumbstruck.
