Tribute's wings beat underneath me as we fly over the trees and rivers and pass a flock of birds, I smile as the spire climbs higher and higher above us.

The base of the spire is a metal building covered in vines, we fly around the blue spire examining its structure.

It's shaped like a massive Implant, and speaking of, my own Implant has started to itch, but I can't remove the bandages, not unless I want another memory attack.

We land at the base of the spire, a blue forcefield buzzing for a door, an Implant shaped pedestal locking us out.

Tribute and Dune fly into the nearest tree, roosting, we flew a long way.

Aphmau hovers her Implant over the pedestal and the spire rumbles, and the door turns off.

"What the-" inside is a huge egg, bigger than anything I've ever seen, it's bright orange and has grey spots, but by the instruments around it, someone is tinkering with the embryo.

We explore the inside, everything looks brand new, someone had been here recently, very, recently, as there is a bowl of warm ramen noodles on a desk.

A monitor on a desk is open, and has several separate files.

A. L. 1, Male, Specimen Status: Living. Connection- Weak.(Awaiting Transfer)

A. L, 2 , Female, Specimen Status: Living. Connection- Strong.(Awaiting Transfer)

D.W 10084, Male, Owner, Vanguard Corp. Personal Owners: A.L 1 and 2. Status: Unknown, Connection- Unknown

S.D 10467, Female, Owner, Viper(Transferred), Personal Owners: A. L 1 and 2, Status: Unknown, Connection-Unknown.

These were just random files, but two of the last interested me.

Wyvern 6, Male, Owner, Dr. Arvin, Personal Owners: A.L 1 and 2 Status: Living, Connection- Nonexistent.

Ronan, Male, Status: Living, Connection- Nonexistent(Awaiting Transfer)

Why was our son, logged into a database? And why it know his name? If it didn't know ours.

"Hey!" Aphmau screams and suddenly something large and blunt hits me in the back of the head, staggered, I stumble over.

In my dazed state I see an old, grey haired man in a lab coat, his face bloody and scared, with Aphmau's dagger stuck in his leg. He's holding a baseball bat.

I would chuckle, but I'm much to busy trying to steady myself from his blow, so to stall, and in the most savage, gravelly tone I can:

"White Coat? Thought I killed all of you." I say in a grunt, trying to sound caveman, I'm bluffing of course, but I do see him recoil.

"Look at you now Lycan, nothing more than a primal ape." His deep voice rouses some long imbedded anger, and I grin hotly.

" Your no much better, White Coat." I start to recover from my stagger, but, I want to play with my prey before I pounce.

"Heh. Still have some brain. How's your son?" I growl, my blood boiling, unfortunately, I fall right into his trap.

"Oh...., You remember then, the Implant wasn't strong enough then, but it was my design, it couldn't possibly work as well as yours." He slacks his grip on the bat and I take my chance to pin him to the cold metal wall.

"What did you do Armin? Why are we here? How do we leave?!" I drop the act, and he stutters and stammer's like a peasant.

"I-I-I-I." I growl and slam him up against the wall, the back of his head starts to bleed, but I'm too angry to care.

"You are not in this lab to stammer vowels like a lowly peasant, answer me!" He gulps and shakes, His grey hair falling in front of his face, I want him to be terrified for his life.

"You'd have to beat the guardian to deactivate the barrier!" He yells, and although I want to rip his throat out, I'm more civilized than that, even with all those months in the wild.

"Okay. Now, why did you send us down here? Or do I have to beat it out of you?" I see a pair of glasses on a desk.

Alright Aaron, Here.

My mother places glasses over my blurry eyes, I'd been having trouble reading lately, and it has just got worse.

Everything becomes clear and my ten-year old mind is blown.

"Wow!"

I grab my old, rimless glasses, and put them on, I'm farsighted, so everything near me gets about one-hundred times easier to see.

"N-No. I...... I lost it, you were so much better then me at everything, so I needed to get you out of the way, so I could take credit for your work." He stammers and holds the back of his head, it has stopped bleeding but I'm sure it still hurts.

"And you didn't have the guts to kill me, so you made me and my family disappear." He gulps and nods, he seems to be docile now, but if my memory serves me right, then that can change in an instant.

Aphmau is unconscious, on the ground, though she did put up a decent fight be the looks of it.

I pick her up bridal style and smile.

"You did good babe. You did great." I lay her in a soft looking chair and then pull out my crossbow.

"W-what are you going to do with that?" I smile down at him and aim an arrow at his face.

I pull the trigger and the arrow buries itself into the wall right beside his head.

"Where is this guardian?" I ask, though I have a feeling I already know, and it's not a good feeling.

                "It's the Broodmother."
