(Cecily's Point of View)

Ryan kicked Brendon. He literally kicked him in the head! No doubt, Brendon was knocked out. After Ryan's foot came in contact with his head, Brendon went completely limp. His head fell back to the ground and he just laid there. I drew in a small gasp and placed my hands over my mouth. Sarah hugged me closer and let out a choked sob into my shoulder. Ryan's goons dragged Brendon to a corner and chained him to the wall while Ryan fingered the keys on the piano. After the goons successful chained Brendon's wrists together, and his waist to the wall, they disappeared into a different room. I was so shocked that I couldn't even cry.
We sat there like that for what felt like hours, the only sound being Sarah's devastated sobs. Ryan turned to us and I pressed myself closer to Sarah.
"Hello Cecily, baby," Ryan cooed, strolling over to me. "Won't you come to daddy?" I shook my head and grasped Sarah's hand. This was the man that had tortured me and retrained me to do his dirty work.
"You're not my dad," I spoke shakily. "Brendon is more of a dad to me than you are." Ryan's almost genuine smile melted immediately. Fire danced in his eyes and his whole body tensed. I shouldn't have said that. In a few quick steps, Ryan was beside me and yanking me out of Sarah's warm embrace. I whimpered and Sarah started to come after me, but Ryan pushed her back. I was pulled over to the piano and sat down forcefully. Ryan kneeled down and pressed his lips against my ear.
"Play the song," he whispered darkly. His hot breath tickled my ear and sent a shiver down my spine. I placed my hands on the keys and played. I played Impossible Year. Ryan stood back and watched, his eyes boring into my skull. Tears slipped down my cheeks as I started the words.
"There's no sunshine, this impossible year. Only black days and sky greys, and clouds full of fear."

(Brendon's Point of View)

"Please, Ryan," I heard Sarah sobbing. Cecily was singing Impossible Year to the piano. I slowly opened my eyes. My head was throbbing with pain. Chains held my wrists together, and a metal belt held my waist close to the wall. Sarah was backed into a corner, Ryan standing over her.
"Please," she said again and burst into tears. My heart ached for her. I wanted to call out, to comfort her. I didn't have the energy.
"Fine," Ryan sighed, stepping back. Sarah stood and ran to me, falling to her knees in front of me. I tried to form a smile out of my chapped lips. Sarah smiled trough tears and pulled me into an awkward hug. She pulled back and kissed me. A tear slipped down my cheek.
I heard the notes from the piano falter, and Cecily's voice cracked. Quick footsteps pounded across the floor and I heard a loud smack. I looked up to see tears falling down Cecily's cheeks, Ryan holding her face in place. He spoke in a harsh, low tone, and I couldn't make out what he was saying. Cecily nodded and went back to the piano. She started the song over.
Ryan walked over to me; his t-shirt and jeans were holy. His eyes were wild, and he looked like he hadn't showered in weeks.
"You," Ryan said, pulling up a chair and sitting in front of me, "Do you see what you've done? I warned you. Now no one will find you, or your precious family. Josh and Tyler are carrying out your concerts, and for all the world knows, you've secluded yourself because you're ill." I blinked slowly at him, confused.
"But Josh was checking on me. He'll see I'm gone," I said. I sounded a lot less confident than I thought I would. Ryan laughed. "Not Josh, too," I groaned. Ryan nodded.
"A threat can go a long way," Ryan grinned. "It could even turn your friends against you."
