Hi there! This is Chapter 6 of my series.

Chapter 6

.....Instead, the beast leaped from the tree and then began to roar at its fullest and the 2 remaining hikers aimed their flashlights into the eye of the beast, thus making it temporarily blind. After that exact moment, they again ran and finally found the path where they trekked a day ago. That made them relieved to find the path, but still frightened for knowing that the beast may still been chasing them. 4:10 am when they didn't feel the presence of the beast again. That time, they began to weep because they may not see their family again, and may be the next victim of the cold beast. They felt that the trek should have been cancelled right after they heard the rumors from the village, and the words of the old man.

Feeling regretful, the two began to talk to each other about their life before being a hiker. They told themselves their dreams and their goals in life. They never thought that their life might end dying and being murdured by a cold beast. After awhile, The beast began to howl again, thus making the 2 hikers vigilant and cautious again. One of them readied his machete he got from the cabin, while the other prepared the pistol the man gave him. The hiker said, "If one of us gets out of this place alive, tell the families of our friends what really happened. Tell them about this creature we have encountered, and...." After he could have finished saying those words, the beast appeared once again on a bush and began to attack them, forcing them to split apart. One of the hikers immediately shoot the beast at its chest while the other, quickly running into the beast to hit its neck with his machete.

After he could get any closer to the beast, it sensed him and then faced him with its bloodthirsty face. His eyes were aiming at him and he then stopped at what he was going to do to it. The beast then ran unto him, grabbed his neck, then finishing him by lunging its claws into his chest. The last remaining hiker was dreadful for he saw his friend dying and at the same time agitated for he knew that he was the next one to be killed. That froze his body and he began to weep. Luckily, the beast only stole the hiker's body then went back into its den. But before the beast left, he glanced at the remaining hiker's eyes with its bloodshot eyes and bloody jaws.

For a minute, the last hiker didn't move a single time and just weep for knowing that  he will be the next victim to be killed by the cold beast. Then he walked on the path at slow pace for he knew he will have no chance to go back alive. But then he remembered what his friend told him, thus making him an another chance that he will get out of the woods alive. 4:30 am when he encountered......to be continued.
