Emma's POV

Emma, we've got rogues on the borders, go with Bryan and try to calm him down. Jake mine linked me, I looked to Bryan and nodded as he shifted quickly.

I smiled down at him and kissed his cheek, I giggled as his tongue left a wet line as he licked my forehead.

I ran to our room and grabbed my backpack, stuffing some bandages, medical equipment and one of Bryan's sweatshirts in there. Sometimes it paid to be the pack doctor.

I jumped down the stairs and landed with my hands in the air as Bryan give me a Wolfy grin and attempted to chuckle.

Come on baby, get on my back, we gotta go.

I nodded my head again and jumped onto his large wolf, grabbing onto his thick brown fur as he sped off into the forest.

We got to the border and saw that there was no one there.

I have Bryan a look of confusion and he returned it with equal bewilderment.

Alpha, there aren't any rogues here.
I heard jake growl at my words in my head before he screamed loudly.

It's a trap, get to the pack house now! I'll be there soon, Eva's there, I can sense her, make sure my sister is safe!

He seemed really worried and I held on tightly again as Bryan ran to the pack house as fast as he could.

When we got there I heard loud bangs and crashes of things being broken, shouting vibrated through the walls giving me and Bryan a hint as to who was in there.

Bryan shifted back and I threw him a sweatshirt from my backpack.

"Eva" I screamed and ran into the house without a second thought.

"Baby wait!" But it was too late.

I had already saw the blood on the walls. The body parts. Everything.

Eva, no! Not my best friend!

Scott and chase were standing there as Blake threw things at the walls and Tate was dodging the items being thrown.

"Guys! What the fudge is going on!?" Tears were now streaming down my face, how could they be fighting when my best friend was dead!

"He cheated on our mate!" Blake screamed, was Eva murdered or did she....did she kill herself because of him!?

I ran up to Tate and started banging on his chest, punching him as hard as I could, how dare he hurt my bestfriend!

Bryan came in and took me away from Tate, I kicked and screamed at him to let me go but he just held me tighter and kissed the side of me.

I hated the way it calmed me down, if I had a wolf I know she would be happy dancing right now.

"Oh no, alpha Lockhart, jake is gonna be broken" Bryan said putting his head down.

Wait, alpha Lockhart?

"Are they done fighting yet?" Someone screamed from upstairs, I saw Eva walk down with that slut Jamie-Lynn.

Jamie ran towards Tate and wrapped her legs around his waist while dry humping him.

Really? Can she not see that someone is dead and there are people here who are mourning!?

Eva pulled her off of him and threw her at the wall. I sighed in relief and hugged my best friend as tight as I could.

She giggled and hugged me back.

I looked at her neck and saw that she had 5 new marks on her neck.

Blake, Kieran, Scott, chase, Tate

Wait they marked her?

"Woah Eva, you got marked?!" I screeched loudly, she would've told me if she was planning to be marked, wouldn't she?

She nodded weakly while showing a sad smile, I mind linked her.

We'll talk about this later.

She nodded her head and I squeezed her shoulder trying to comfort her.

"Someone mind link jake and tell him what's happened" chase said while coming over to Eva and holding her.

I smiled at their closeness, I was happy for them, it was good that chase got a second chance after iris died.

"Already done beta chase" Logan said, the fourth in command. He walked in and checked Eva out and winked. She blushed and hid her head into chases chest.

Chase growled along with Blake, Scott and Tate at him.

He just smiled smugly at them.

Bradley came in behind him with Kieran and a few omegas.

Kieranran over to Eva and kissed her gently, she was reluctant but kissed back after a while. He growled loudly at Tate and snapped his jaws at him, his eyes turning black in anger.

Eva stroked his arm trying to calm him and he soon went back to normal.

Bryan hugged me from behind and kissed the top of my head. I sighed in happiness and sorrow at losing someone I thought of as a father, he taught me how to fight, how to defend myself and how to hunt.

Now that I think of it I guess he knew that I was human. Yes I knew I was human, it was blatantly obvious, I was a year older than Eva and I still hadn't shifted, I didn't have heightened abilities and I wasn't as tan as all the other shifters, my eyes didn't sparkle, my hair wasn't as long and I wasn't as fit. But I had a mate who loved me, a pack who I adored and a brother who is a pain in the ass but looked out for me.

They welcomed me in with open arms, let me in on the pack link and even made me the pack doctor.

I think I have a little bit of wolf in me though, since my eyes can change colour and I'm mated to a beta who I loved deeply.

I snuggled into Bryan and felt the tears come back as me and uncle Brad (alpha Lockhart) used to tickled Eva and always go out to the beach with Bradley, chase, Eva and Eva's mom, Cassandra. Eva looked just like her, the same red hair, green eyes and blood red lips.

Bradley gave me a sympathetic look as jake finally arrived.

His eyes were bloodshot and he looked as white as a ghost. He kept his composure as he entered the house and looked at the blood soaked floor.
A stray tear escaped his eye as he let it fall. Eva ran out of chase and Kieran's embrace and hugged her brother as they cried together.

He rubbed her back comfortingly as she sobbed into his chest. He whispered into her ear and picked her up bridal style, swaying her back and fourth. All the guys growled but stopped when they saw jakes eyes.

They were completely black, I stepped back, knowing that he needed Eva right now, he needed to comfort her and look after his baby sister, she was all he had left.

Jake put his head up and howled loudly as everyone else joined in. It was a way of mourning the loss of a loved one in the shifter community.

I howled along with Bryan as everyone dropped there heads in submission to the fallen alpha.

Jakes head snapped back up, still holding Eva tightly.

"Who did this?" He said brokenly, his voice was rough and harsh as he spoke. Eva flinched back and then buried her head into the crook of his neck.

His wolf purred at the comfort from his sister. I smiled and wished me and Bradley had that kind of closeness. Bryan held me closer, probably reading my thoughts and rubbed his cheek against mine.

"Vampires" Bradley said, I looked at him shocked as Blake handed Jake a semi wait card, covered in blood.

His eyes scanned over it, dropping it the ground he growled viciously, Blake grabbed Eva from his grasp and he growled even louder before leaving through the door.


This was gonna be a long week.


1 week later.

Chase's POV
It had been 2 days since the funeral, Eva was doing better, she no longer cried every night and had Emma with her every second instead. Bryan understood and let them have their 'girl time' but Blake, Scott, Kieran and I needed her, she was going to go into heat soon and now that we had marked her we needed her even more.

Tate was still with that Jamie girl but at night he would wait outside Eva's door and whine, begging for her to let him In. She just cried and asked me to take him away, I always did, if Blake found out he was even near Eva he would kill him. Scott and Blake had been a lot more possessive lately and Kieran had been looking after Eva when Emma had pack duties such as healing the omegas after training and going to see Bryan.

It had rained none stop for the whole week and I knew it had something to do with Eva.

Her powers were getting stronger. She now controlled the weather and could control ice and nature. The garden was full of roses, tulips, Lilly's, sunflowers, sweet peas and snow blossoms, we now also had an ice room were everyone came to ice skate and have snow cones. I missed my mate deeply and just needed to hold her in my arms and mate her. Red cried every day and was always telling me about how luna was making progress and wanted to run with us, but Eva didn't let her.

Just as I was thinking that the door swung open and revealed a smiling Evangeline. I jumped up quickly and took her in my arms swinging her around gently in a circle.

She let out a laugh and kissed me deeply.

I begged for entrance with my tongue but was denied it, I smiled into the kiss and slightly nibbled on her neck, she gasped and I took my chance to kiss her again and gain dominance of the kiss. She wrapped her arms around my neck and tangled her fingers into my black hair, I moaned from the contact and wrapped her legs around my waist.

I started to remove her top when I heard a loud cough coming from downstairs.

I put Eva down, took her hand and ran down the stairs with her in tow, she giggled and kissed my cheek, red purred and started talking to luna, I heard Scott, Blake, Kieran and Tate in my mind, asking me about Eva, I blocked them out and headed down the stairs again.


I looked and saw a very tall pale boy with bright purple eyes standing staring at Eva. She gasped and hid behind me.


"Hello my love" he said, his voice was deep and sounded like he was using some sort of spell.

Eva looked into his eyes and started to walk towards him, I grabbed her hand holding her back.

"Who are you?" I asked, a little bit confused.

"I am Eric Dracule and you have something that is rightfully mine" he kept looking at Eva as he said it, his eyes were a bright yellow, Dracule? Where have I heard that before? Oh shit! He was the eldest son of Dracula! But what did he want with Eva?

" and what would that be?" I asked smugly, Eva let go of my hand and walked towards Eric until his arm was slung over her shoulder.

"My fiancé" he said as he backed up out of the house.

I went to run after him but I felt a hard object hit the back of my head knocking me out.

"Nighty night, mutt" someone said as the blackness took over me.






Okayyyyyyyy, my lovelies! What d'ya think? Liking it so far? Should I do Eric's POV or Blake's for the next? I'm not gonna do Eva's for a little bit but it'll be worth it trust me.
