Eva's POV
"Eva, wake up my love"
What? No, sleep is my friend why do people feel the need to wake me up of a morning? I could happily sleep forever. Like sleeping beauty! Wait....that sounded vain even in my head, right luna? I stopped thinking when I didn't hear her reply. I called out to her begging her to answer me but I heard...nothing. Silence. It was as though she had left me and gone into hiding. Where was she?
"Love, you need to wake up now" that annoying voice said again. Why does it seem so familiar?
"Baby if you stopped thinking and opened your eyes you'll find the answer to all of your questions"
Slowly cracking my eyes open I looked over to my side to see the forgotten bob of hair sticking up from under the bed. I peeked over to see bright purple eyes and a wicked smile playing on the unknown mans lips.
"Now, maybe it's time to get that memory back hmm?" Finally he came out from under the bed and everything snapped back into place. As though my brain was knitting all of my thought back together and giving me a view of what I had forgotten in the last twenty-four hours. I was kidnapped AGAIN by my ex boyfriend this time and now I'm in a palace filled with vampires. Awesome, just awesome. I have no other words than that.
"Eric why don't I have my wolf anymore?" I found myself asking even though it was most likely he didn't know the reason. He smiled down at me and slowly picked me up in his arms like I weighed no more than a feather and carried me over to what I'm guessing is the bathroom.
"Because my love, your wolf was putting you through heat. It's nothing to worry about. It's simply a defence mechanism that every female wolf has when they are away from their so called mates" I formed an 'O' shape with my mouth and felt a warm substance crawling it's way up my body, starting from my toes and leading up to my chest. I looked down and realised that Eric had undressed me and placed me inside the bath tub without me even realising it. I started to get up and get out when he pushed down on my shoulders and sent me flying right back into the water.
"Your weak, you have no wolf for the time being and, please don't take this the wrong way my dear but, you smell awful" I scoffed and began scrubbing myself hard with the sponge that was conveniently placed to the right hand side of the tub.
Eric watched on with amusement and sat down on the bathroom floor. His long legs folding underneath him.

After a while the water became cold and my fingers started to prune. It was then that I asked the one question I had been meaning to ask since I got here, sighing I asked.
"Why am I here Eric?"
He looked down at the floor, opening and closing his mouth, trying to find the right words before looking up at me and blowing air out from his mouth in a sighing way.
"I needed you Eva, it hasn't been the same since you left, everywhere I look I see you, even when I'm sleeping you invade my dreams, when I found out you'd found your mates my world came crashing down and I just....i couldn't take not being with you anymore" he looked genuinely broken and I felt sympathy for him. Did he not realise that what we had together was a lie?
His eyes lit up and turned red and his nostrils flared as he breathed heavily.
"It was not a lie Evangeline! I love you and I am not about to give you up for 5 mutts that have no idea how to make you happy! tell me Eva, are the almighty alphas really as kind as they seem?"
I stood up from the bath as Eric stood up from the floor, fully aware that I was naked but not really caring at this moment in time.
"Yes they are!" He scoffed the same way I had done moments before and gave me a look of disbelief. It felt as though he was patronising me.
"Alright then, go through them. One by one, tell me about them!"
I stomped my foot in anger causing a large splash to jump form the water onto the black tiled floor. I grabbed the fluffy white towel from the silver rail to my left and wrapped it around me, stepping out of the tub and squaring up to Eric.
"Fine I will! Scott is the funniest, most down to earth person I know! When my father was murdered by you and your personal guard he sat with me while I cried in the garden and comforted me, assured me that everything was gonna be alright!
Chase has been my best friend since diapers. He's been there for me through everything and I with him! he stood by me through all the shit that I've been put through! All the hurt and pain and betrayal and yes! He even stood by me when I was bitten by you!
Kieran is the sweetest and kindest guy. He stayed with me every single night in my room and watched stupid movies with me and didn't complain! I know it's not a lot but do you know many guys that would do that for some girl they just met?! Blake is the soft one, he's mean and intimidating when you first meet him but when you get to know him he's perfect! Sure he's possessive but isn't that a good thing sometimes? He cares for me and I care for him! So yeah they are kind, they are sweet, they are soft and that's the reason why I love each and every one of-"
"What about Tate?" Eric interrupted. I hesitated and took a step back, forgetting about my previous speech. What about Tate? I honestly didn't know anymore. Tate could be the nicest person you've ever met but then he could be mean and cold. He cheats on me, I know but, y'all shouldn't judge, no one understands what it feels like to love someone so much and then hear them cry outside your door every night, begging for your forgiveness. Yes I love him. I always have. Truth is, he is my soul mate and I'll never let him go. But I'll never admit that.
"He was everything to me but now, I couldn't care less"
He raised his eyebrows in suspicion and looked down at me through his black hair that had now fallen in front of his eye.
"You couldn't care less?" He breathed heavily and his breath fanned out across my lips as he took a daring step closer to me. Staring down at my lips as his eyes flickered from my eyes to my jaw.
"No, he means nothing to me" I lied, I know I shouldn't have but I did.
He leaned down so his lips were level with mine and took another step forward as I took one back.
"Let's put that theory to the test, shall we?" He took one more step towards me as I lost my footing and started falling backwards into the tub. He caught me just before my body made contact with the water and spun me until I was smashed up against the bathroom door.
"what-what do you mean?" Trying to catch back my breathe I stared down at the floor and placed my hand on his broad shoulders, attempting to regain my composure.
"They're here" closing his eyes he squished me to his body and swung open the door. Running to the closet that was placed in the room and grabbing a white dress that looked like it was out of a horror movie where the girl gets sacrificed on an alter. It was long, down to the floor with a long trail on the back. The corset work went right round from the spine to the chest, unlike normal sleeves these white ones hung low like a veil and off the shoulders like a dress you wear to go clubbing.
Eric threw a black bra towards me with a black matching thong and winked at me. I shivered with disgust and caught them, never letting go of my towel.
"Get dressed, some servants will be up later to do your makeup and hair soon" walking towards the door he opened it and slowly turned towards me with the handle gently clasped in his hand.
"Oh and Eva?"
"Y-yeah?" I couldn't stop my voice from wavering, what was all this about?
"Be ready" he smirked. Licking his lips looking seductive, my knees started to go weak but I shook myself out of it quickly.
"Ready for what?"
He pulled the door shut even more and said loudly before slamming it
"For war my love, for war"
