First dates and lost mates

Eva's POV

It had been 6 months since jake had "rescued" me. I waited for my mates to come and get me but....they never did. I used to wait up at night and stare out my window, waiting to see Kieran's blonde wolf come running through the forest to come and take me back to them. But nothing.
Dad had left about a week after I came back. He said it was his time to go. I didn't know what he meant but I haven't saw him since.

Nothing was going right anymore, I missed Blake, I missed Kieran, I missed Scott, I missed tate but most of all I missed my freedom.

Jake hadn't let me leave the pack house, to much risk he said. I tried to run away 17 times, and yet I couldn't.

Chase had tried to convince jake to just let me go for a run with him but he refused, chase had been with me every second of these 6 months, never leaving my side, always cheering me up with his goofy ways or making fun of the typical romance films I knew and loved.
Bradley had stepped down as beta and he couldn't be happier, like chase he was always by my side. He talked about meeting his mate and how he would reject her the second he saw her. I didn't understand what he meant but every time I tried to ask him, he would tell me it's nothing to worry about.

Emma had found her mate. His name was Bryan, he was the beta to the silver knight pack. He was sweet as far as I could tell. Tall, tan and handsome. But he had nothing on my mates. Emma still hadn't shifted, I didn't understand why but she told me that it was normal for some girls to be late bloomers.

As for jake, he had become the new alpha, it was torture for him. He would never stop working, I had tried countless times to get past his guards to go into his study but was told "politely" to leave, I missed my fun loving, careless, Irresponsible big brother. I hated the new over protective and brooding one.

I wanted my mates. I wanted my brother. I wanted my dad. But most importantly, I wanted my wolf.

Lunar had blocked me out for a month and a half, she told me it wasn't my fault, it was my mates. This got me worried. What had they done to make her stop talking? She loved them, so what made her stop?

Bradley had been helping me advance my powers, as well as now being able to master the four elements and the element of soul. I had now developed the power of telekinesis, it was awesome. I could just imagine something moving and it would, I even poured water over Bradley while he was sleeping without moving from my bed.

Chase and I were becoming closer, I don't know what it was but when he was near me, lunar would purr and make strange sounds, she still never talked but at least it was something, right?

I would wake up at night screaming for the first month, chase would have to come into my room and soothe me back to sleep, after about a month it had just become a habit, he slept in the same bed as me every night with me wrapped in his arms. I had to admit, I felt, safe.

"Good morning sleeping beauty" I looked up to see chase with his leg over mine and my head crushed into his chest.

"Good morning" my voice was deep and rough from sleeping, I tried to get up but couldn't white manage with chase's arms trapping me onto him.

"Mind letting me up hot stuff?"

"Hmm, well that depends"

"On what exactly?"

"If you'll go out with me tonight?"

I gasped, was he asking me on a- a date?!

"Are you asking me on a date?"

"Yeah, I am"

I blushed beneath his gaze, how could I refuse? I was growing to love this boy, and I think I may have just fallen again.

"Well then, I guess I better get ready"

Chase smiled from ear to ear and kissed the top of my head before getting up and sending me a wink before leaving through the door.

I huffed and got up, grabbing my phone from off the floor.

"Hello?"
"Emma! I need you help!"
"I am not coming over there to help you tie Bradley to a chair again"
I laughed at that...you really don't wanna know what we did to him.
"No no. I Erm, I kinda, I....I have a date"
I heard a screech down the phone while holding it away from my ear.
"So chase finally got the balls to ask you out huh?"
"Wait, finally?"
"Yeah! He's been in love with you for like, forever!"
I felt my cheeks heat up, he was in love with me?
"I know your embarrassed chica, I can tell by your silence. I'll be over in 45.7 seconds, love ya!"

I went down stairs and opened the door.
"5, 4, 3, 2-"
"Hey! Sorry I'm early! I couldn't wait! Now let's get you ready before you man comes to pick you up."
"But Emma, we've got over 3 hours to get ready, can't we have some food first?"
"Exactly! Only 3 hours! We need to get to work, we don't have much time"
She grabbed my wrist and dragged me back up to my room, waking into my walk in closet she went through every piece of clothing I owned.

"Too casual, too revealing, too blue, too short, too long, too-this is perfect!!"
She jumped up and down in excitement, her blonde her swaying from side to side as she walked towards me.
"Chase is gonna die when he sees you in this!"
It was a red, tight fitting dress, it had a sweetheart neck line, it had diamond underneath the bust and flowed down to my ankles, it was tight fitting until it reached the waist, it was criss-crossed in the back, and showed off my figure, it matched my hair perfectly.

"Are you sure Emma? I don't think I can pull that dress off."
"Oh, cheese and crackers! Of course you can! Now go and get a shower before I have to undress you myself" she showed me into my bathroom and closed the door behind me. Well, better get ready.


2 and a half hours later I was nearly ready. My dress fit me perfectly and hugged me in all the right places. Emma had curled my hair and clipped the front parts to my head while letting the back flow loose and curly.
She had done my make up in a red theme. My eyes were coated with red eyeshadow and had black eyeliner wings on my lash line. My lips were a cherry red with a clear gloss over them.

She paired the dress with a pair of red and black shoes with diamonds on the heel. I had to admit. I looked gorgeous.

"There! Your done, and might I say you look mighty fine my dear princess" she winked at me and pushed me towards my bedroom door.

I walked down the stair and saw chase in a black suit with a red tie, wow, I'm guessing Emma told him what I was wearing.

He looked mouth wateringly good, his black hair was tousled in the "just got out of bed" look and his black suit pants hang on his hips showing off his gorgeous- I'm gonna stop now. Hehe.

"Wow, Eva, you look, wow" Bradley said walking towards me, when did he get here?
Chase just smiled at me while running his eyes up and down my body. I blushed matching my dress and linked his arm with mine.

"Shall we go?"
Chase was knocked from his daydream and looked straight at me while nodding.

"Bye guys, see you soon!"
"Hey! What am I supposed to tell jake about where you are!?" Bradley shouted
"Just tell him I'm with chase on a date!"
"Got it! Remember dude! Wear protection!" I laughed and snuggled closer to chase.
He growled and kissed my cheek as we got into the car.


We pulled up in front of a large building with lots of people in long dresses and guys in suits waiting outside.
Chase ran over to my side of the car and opened the door.
"Woah, chase, what is this place?" I was awestruck at the size of this place, it was huge!
"This my lady, is a ball" and with that he lead me inside.

People were dancing together on the ballroom floor, others were laughing with each other and a few were at the bar getting drinks.
A slow song came on and chase bowed in front of me.
"May I have this dance beautiful?" I blushed for the millionth time today and nodded my head.

He took me into his arms and we began swaying with the music, chase started off slow and then twirled me as the music sped up, we started getting closer and closer as he spun me over and over again, he held me close while bringing me into his and bringing me close to the floor before picking me up and holding me above his head, he tossed me into the air and I felt my heart beat faster, who knew he could dance? I did a twirl in the air before he caught me and brought me down, sliding onto his body, he span me again and again before we came back into each other and were face to face, our lips almost touching as the song came to and end.

Suddenly I heard applause coming from all around us. It was then I realised we had formed a crowd while we were dancing. People stood admiring us while clapping and smiling. I hear something strange and a familiar smell engulfed my nostrils. No. It couldn't be.
I turned around and came face to face with all four of my mates, their eyes black, growling at chase, I looked at each of them and saw that they all held a different girl in their arms. I felt tears start to form in my eyes and I turned into chase silently begging myself not to cry. He brought me out from his chest while looking down at me. I heard 4 loud growls before chase planted his lips on mine and I felt sparks radiating from his touch.

Chase was my mate?
