After there meal Monty and Hayley went back into the drop ship to watch over Jasper. Hayley sat next to Monty as he worked on the bracelet and closed her eyes every time Jasper would groan in pain.

"Can he just die already?" Someone complained from the bottom of the drop ship infuriating Hayley until Monty grabbed onto her hand shaking his head

"I'm going to go get some water, watch him for me" Clarke told them before getting up to get what she needed

Monty moved closer to Jasper as did Hayley and she almost couldn't bare to see him the way he was.

Hayley closed her eyes as he cried out in pain again but this time she looked away from him her eyes brimming with tears

Monty had looked up at the girl seeing her movement and he looked at her sadly not knowing how it was affecting her

She had just met Jasper not long ago but it had felt like they had known each other for years.

"Why don't you try going to sleep?" Monty suggested and Hayley shook her head slightly before taking a deep breath

"No, I can't. We need to watch Jasper" Hayley said finally looking at Monty

"Come here" Monty said getting to his feet and pulling Hayley up, he took her to a wall where she could rest on and they both sat down

Monty awkwardly rapped his arms around Hayley and she cuddled into him quickly falling asleep as Monty watched over Jasper.

The next morning Hayley was woken up by Jasper's loud screams and more complaining from other people making her roll her eyes

When Hayley looked around it got the attention of Monty who had moved to work on bracelets again, and Finn who crouched down in front of her

"Tired?" He smirked before he helped her to her feet and Hayley playfully punched his arm before walking to sit next to Monty

"Any progress on using the wrist bands to contact the ark? Monty!" Clarke raised her voice slightly when Monty didn't answer her question an Hayley feels like she had missed some of the conversation

"That would be a firm no" Monty said and Hayley noticed his muscles tense slightly and she put her hand on his making him immediately relax

"My mom would know what to do" Clarke said internally wishing her mother was there to help her

"Do you think you can get it to work?" Hayley asked quietly and Monty looked over at her before slightly shrugging his shoulders

"Don't know" Monty sighed and Hayley rested her head on his shoulder

"I think you can do it" she whispered mainly to herself but Monty still heard and it made him smile

"Fine you wanna help hold him down!" They heard Clarke say and Hayley was now fully focused on them again

Finn and Wells both held onto his legs as Clarke put her knife into the fire
