Sorry for the wait! Halfway done with the next one! Which I'll try to get out this weekend! Before I leave for Florida! :D
“Hello, is this Electra Gilbert?”
I raised a brow questionably at my phone, “Um, yes?”
Who was this? At this moment I was relaxing in a large beach front home. The Florida skies were clear, and the waves crashed onto the beach. I had been trying to catch a tan.
Well that- and to clear my head from last week’s events of course. I had practically forgotten all about my little trip to Mystic Falls. It was only a distant memory to me now. My uncaring nature had returned.
Katherine at this moment was out and about. Where ever the hell she goes. I honestly couldn’t care less. I was still pissed about the whole staking me thing. Damn wench.
“Well what do you want?” I growled growing frustrated.
“Do you know someone by the name of Katerina Petrova? Or am I mistaken?” The voice asked, I recognized it as a woman’s.
Katherine? Why does this person care?
“Yes?…” I replied cautiously.
I heard a chuckle, “Then this will go rather smoothly. Meet me at the boardwalk, in one hour.” It was a command, not a question.
“And if I don’t?”
“Then you’ll never see your friend again.”

Picking at my nails, I sat on a bench. The breeze whipped my hair around, boring me immensely. I let out a puff of air, knowing Katherine had gotten herself in some trouble. But did she believe that I would actually help her out? Would I? I questioned myself.
I wasn’t sure myself. I watched as children ran around, using their unending energy. My lips quirked up slightly, but still undetectable. Oh how I remembered the days..
The salty air was refreshing. The ocean was amazing to me, I could watch it all day. How powerful the waves were enticed me.
“You came.”
I looked up to see a woman- no older than twenty standing before me. She had caramel colored hair and big brown eyes. The girl wasn’t tall, perhaps 5’2 at the most. How intimidating… Not.
“Yes, so you’re the one who took Katherine?” I questioned in a bored tone.
She rolled her eyes, “Introductions should be in order first, don’t you think?” She held out her hand as she sat beside me, “My name is Lucy.”
“Electra Gilbert.” I replied, as I reached forward and shook her hand, “But you already knew that.” I continued with a smug smile.
“Yes, actually. Now onto business.” Lucy said with a bored expression, “I need you to steal me a journal.”
“A journal?…” I asked deadpanned, “Seriously? And why can’t you do it?”
“It’s not just a journal. It belonged to a woman named Maria.”
That caught my interest instantly. Why was this woman so interested in my ancestor? My eyes narrowed in thought. What did she want with my bloodline?
“Why would I get it for you?”
“Because when I kill Katherine when I don’t get what I want. You won’t have a partner to take on Klaus.” Lucy snapped, before standing up abruptly and began to walk away.
Conflicting emotions ran through me. Could I let Katherine be killed over a silly journal? Even if she deserved it a hundred-and-ten-percent. I wanted to be the one to do it in the end, not some vamp named ‘Lucy’.
