(Your P.O.V.)
After we finished pizza (S-d/n) grabbed the rest of our bags from the rental car. And placed them near the entrance. (S/n) had already scurried back up into her room to go play with 'Laughing Jack'. I grabbed my other bag and placed it in the living room area and started to unpack the sleeping bag and pillow. Dang it I forgot I dropped my backpack upstairs.

I sighed and headed upstairs to the attic. I grabbed the (f/c) bag and swung it over my shoulder then headed down the attic stairs. While in the hallway I could hear (S/n) talking but couldn't understand what she was saying. I ignored it and went back down to my temporary set-up.  I plugged my phone into the wall, when the screen went on I checked the time. 9:47 probably should go to bed. We do have lots of unpacking when mom gets home from work tomorrow. I set my phone on the ground and went into my sleeping bag. Soon I was consumed in darkness.

--------

I opened my eyes, "Where am i?" I around, everything was bluer as if I were spinning. I looked down, I was on a black and white merry-go-round horse. My eyes go wide once I realized were I was, I was back at the monochrome carnival with the macabre children. The merry-go-round was going faster than it should be so I hugged the steel, swirly pole as if my dream life depended on it...which it probably did. Suddenly if felt a hot, metallic, candy smelling, raspy breath on the back of my neck. I tensed up, I didn't know what to do. What if it was one of the macabre children wanting to play again. No, that's not it the merry-go-round is going way to fast for them to get on.

'Then what is the thing behind me?!' I couldn't take it anymore, I quickly turned around to find...nothing. nothing was there, the breathing had stopped and that weird smell was gone. Suddenly the merry-go-round had an abrupt stop and my head slammed upon the bar knocking me out instately.

----------

Soon I jolted up from my sleeping bag in a cold sweat. Heavy breathing I darted my head around the room. I'm still at the house. Calm down. Just a nightmare. Nothings wrong. Everything's fine. I sighed and crawled over to my phone and turned on the screen. I quickly closed my eyes so I won't blind myself from the screen. Soon I opened my eyes. 6:15, my parents should be out by now, but it's too early for (S/n) to get up. Sighing I got up from the ground and streched.

It was still a bit dark outside so I picked up my phone, turned on the flashlight and went to the kitchen. Knowing my mom would have left a note and food for (S/n) and I. Once I got there on the island there was a donut box and a note infront of it.

I picked up the note and read,
Dear (Y/n),
I left early and went to the store and got you guys some donuts then came back and left again. The moving guys should be there a few minutes after I get home. Watch your sister, be good, eat donuts and I'll see you guys around one.
                 ~Love, mom.

I chuckled at my mom being the way she is, so predictable. I set the note down, opened the box and pulled out (favorite donut). I closed the box full of the sweet goods and went back to my temporary room. I sat upon the sleeping bag and continued eating the treat. Oh yeah, I gotta go meet that James kid today around noon. He seemed scared of this house. Weird. Anyway I probably should go check on (S/n). After finishing my donut I carefully crept up the creaky stairs and down the dark hallway. I tried to make as little noise as possible when opening (S/n)'s sqeaky door to peak into her room.

I poked my head into the small door opening. Inside (S/n) was sleeping in her sleeping bag while cuddling up to her bear and baby blanket. I was about to close the door when I herd a sharp, raspy breath. I stood at the door, shocked. That wasn't (S/n) breathing. I quietly open the door the best I can and stepped inside. Looking around the small room not a single other soul was there. Besides mine and (S/n)'s. Strange. Maybe that was her. I walked out and closed the door and carefully walked down the hallway and down the creaky stairs. I made my way back to my sleeping bag. But I stopped, there on my sleeping bag was the monochrome Jack-in-a-box. I swear my mouth dropped to the floor when I saw it. It was the same Jack-in-a-box as before. I carefully stepped closer to it like it was some wild animal. Each step I took the feeling of dread and fear grew.

It's just a weird Jack-in-a-box (Y/n). Nothings wrong, right?

Suddenly one of the neighbor's howled. I jumped about five feet and looked at the direction of the howl, which was away from the Jack-in-a-box. After a bit of calming myself down I turned back to the Jack-in-a-box and it was gone. What the freak?!?! It's gone AGAIN!?!? Am I going crazy? No. Seeing the exact same thing twice isn't going crazy, right? But we're did it go? Was it even real or was it the lack of sleep I've been getting? I stood there with widen eyes. I need water and maybe another donut.

I walked to the kitchen and grabbed some bottled water in the cooler and a donut from the box then went back to my sleeping bag and sat down on it. Eating my donut and drinking my water, I was think about what has been happening to me in this house. The monochrome Jack-in-a-box, the raspy breath, the monochrome nightm-

Suddenly it hit me. Monochrome. Both my nightmares and the Jack-in-a-box are monochrome. And the sharp breath in (S-n)'s room sound a lot like the one in the second nighmare.

That's it! Since I've been having nightmares and I've been thinking about it my brain is playing tricks on me. That's gotta be it right? There's no other explination.

(Narroator's P.O.V.)

You smiled triumphantly. But little did you know of a certant not so imaginary friend spying on you and cursing under his breath. He made plans to gut the dog that howled earlier later.
