One week, four victims, and five calls to Seraphine Jones, the only human I know with a vast knowledge of Vampires in general.

The news has been no help since the only information is that they are on a high and the number of True Bloods versus attacks is rising at an impossible rate, making Fleshlings very popular now as well. If only we all weren't so scared to let ourselves be known. Being a "vampire" used to be cool back when Twilight came out, but when some True Bloods decided to show themselves, there were burnings everywhere. Better to hide than die...again.

                ------------     -----------    ------------

I never knew it would be so hard being a Fleshling. The thirst is constant but barable enough for a few days' break between feedings, and volunteering at the blood bank doesn't hurt to keep the thrist at bay.

Walking through the halls of Redville High School is like torture on my poor non-excistant soul. The stench of testoserione and toomuch perfume clings to the air making it nearly impossible to breathe, though I technically don't need to anymore, with my new advanced senses. Which also makes the sound of teenage girls and hollering boys unbarable.

While I was walking by a vouple practically eating each other's faces, I heard the unmistakeable clank of Seriphine's heels on the floor coming up behind me.

"Hello, darling," I said as I turned to my locker. She leaned up against her's while starring at me with glassy eyes.

I cleared my throat and smiled, "Ahem, hun, I know i'm pretty, but you shouldn't stare. It's rude and a picture, in theory, last longer."

"Hm, well someone's cocky today," she sighed, crossing her arms. "Sorry, it's just hard to think of you being a..." she paused, looking around to make sure no one would hear, then whispered, "a Fleshling.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed, waving it off. "You know, it's not that hard, really. Though, I could get accused of being jailbait from time to time." I let a signature mirk spread across my lips, basically forcing her to soften up a bit. I've always been able to maniplulate her easily.

Taking the last of my books, I closed the locker door and proceeded on, Seriphine hot on my heels. " You don't fool me, Daliegha," she managed to get in step with me as we shoved our way through the crowded hall. I know you steal donated blood so you don't have to hunt." That didn't shock me a bit. Though her accusation was correct, I really could never get anything by this girl, even for a second.

I stopped right outside of my 1st period Contempory Fiction Studies class and turned to face her. "Listen, I'm just not confortable killing innocent people yet,  ok?" I leaned my head against the door frame, Seriphine looking at me with her big blue eyes full of sympathy. "Can I just do this my way for awhile, at least until I have a list of aggravating people I wouldn't mind draining?" I said with a small fake laugh.

She sighed, placing a delicate hand onn my shoulder, "Yeah, I guess that's fine for now. Just don't add me to the list," she laughed.

"See ya in History, Day!" She said as she sauntered off to her class.

The bell rang loudly, signalling for all students to be in class and I was left alone in the hallway. Mrs. Belle had already began her lecture on Steibeck, so I started to walk towards the gym doors and out to the riverbank away from all these blood-filled temptations.

Hey guys! Sorry I kept forgetting to update and I've been so busy that I haven't really had time to remember. I'm going to try my best to write, type, and post the 2nd chapter tonight as well so the wait for this chapter won't be wasted.
