Tyler planned to avoid Josh at all costs. Of course, playing shows together was inevitable and he couldn't escape from those, but as soon as the show was done, Tyler would take off, going straight to the bus, leaving Josh and the crew alone to clean up after the show. It made Josh's blood boil, he wanted to confront the boy, face-to-face, and ask him what his problem was. However, as soon as Josh was given the opportunity to make his move, he chickened out, and decided to leave Tyler alone. Tyler couldn't avoid him forever.

So Josh sat in his dressing room, fangs extended in anger, as Tyler went to meet fans by himself. His nails dug into the fabric of the couch as he tried to contain himself, the silence in the room annoyed him and he couldn't think because all he heard was his heart beating in his ears. His heart was sporadic, never keeping a constant beat like a human's heart. It annoyed him at times, considering he was a drummer and a constant beat is a necessity. Josh was the one that kept a song in tempo, and if he slipped up, then him and Tyler would be off.  His heart started beating faster at the thought of messing up and throwing Tyler off pace, or maybe it was because he could smell Tyler's blood.

Josh ran out the door when he heard a shriek. He followed the scent of Tyler's blood, the heavy iron smell with a hint of his pine cologne, which flowed through the hall.

A boy with black hair had Tyler pinned to the ground, his fangs lodged into Tyler's neck. The sight made Josh's fangs extend completely, his nails sharpen to a blade, and his eyes glow red. Josh launched towards the guy, tackling him to the ground beside Tyler and immediately bit into the other vampire's neck. The boy hissed as Josh drank his disgusting blood, Josh knew the boy was a level E.
His pupils were blown in different sizes, his limbs twitched, and he couldn't stop laughing. Josh wouldn't let this one go to waste, no matter how terrible his blood tasted. This level E was drinking blood from animals, desperate, Josh thought.

He unlatched his jaw from the boy once his body went limp. The council would clean it up, they had to have been looking for the psycho vampire anyway.
Josh wiped his mouth off with his sleeve and stood to realize he was alone, Tyler was nowhere in sight. Josh's phone began to ring, and he immediately answered it.

"Are you just going to leave the body there? Where anyone could see it?" it was Marcela, from the Council. Josh didn't like her. Her voice was annoying and after every call from her he had a headache.

"Yep," he stated, as he began to walk away from the body. Marcela sighed, whispering under her breath "one day that's going to be you," before hanging up.

Josh softly knocked on the door leading to Tyler's dressing room, after making sure he didn't have any traces of the psycho's disgusting animal blood. Just thinking of what that vampire did made Josh feel sick; not to animals but to Tyler. He was the last person that deserved any if this.

Jenna opened the door and stared at Josh with furrowed brows. She nearly growled at the man, obviously still sensing the blood on him. Josh wasn't expecting Jenna to be in there so he tried to get past her but she blocked him.
"Leave. Tyler doesn't want to see you," She growled. Josh wanted to protest but Jenna's eye's pulsed red and he obeyed, beginning to walk away. He felt weak under her gaze, the strength it would take to fight against her left his body years ago.

"Was that Josh?" He heard Tyler's faint voice and turned on his heel, seeing Tyler push Jenna out of the way. He ran to Josh and collapsed in his arms, and Josh quickly clung to the other, bringing each other to the floor.

Tyler was shaking but he repeated "thank you, thank you, thank you," into Josh's shirt. Josh's chest felt as if it caved at the gesture, the overwhelming warmth from the boy and his forest scent, filled Josh's senses. Tyler's body wracked against Josh's and it was beautiful, it was so beautiful to see and feel and hear Tyler again. Jenna was ordering Josh to let go of Tyler with a burning gaze, but he couldn't. He only had the strength to disobey if it was for Tyler. Josh would do anything for the boy in his arms, he thought, as he placed a kiss to his disheveled fluff of hair on the top of his head. And he continued to kiss the boy's head until Jenna finally walked away in a huff and Tyler was giggling.
