Brown eyes

I was making my way through the bustling crowd on my way to transfiguration. I'd been late way too often to McGonagalls' lessons, not on purpose of course, just mere coincidence. I actually had great respect for the woman.

For fear of being late again I began to run; holding my books close to my chest. Shoving people left and right as I pushed my way through. Screams and yells of giddy students surrounded me.

I heard a group of boys laugh and suddenly, I was on the floor next to the messy array of my books, my head throbbing from the impact I just had with the wall.

"Ahh, fuck", I winced placing a hand on my forehead.

I looked to my right to see a pale, lanky boy haul himself up off the floor, towering above me.

"Fuck sake, Zabini!", he chuckled as Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle sauntered away. "Sorry about that love", he said as he stretched out his hand gesturing for me to take hold of it. His hand was cold but soft, for a man.

"I believe these belong to you?" He questioned holding out my books with his free hand. I blushed, realising I still had hold of it, letting go quickly.

"Thank you", I murmured, cheeks turning red as I slowly grabbed my books from him. I looked up to see it was none other, than Draco Malfoy. His eyes were fixed on mine, I'd seen him around school many times, often arguing with Harry. But never had I been so close to him, it was only now that I realised how truly handsome he was. I closed my mouth quickly, now aware that it was agape.

"I don't believe we've met properly", he stated. "I'm Dra-"

"Draco Malfoy, yes. I've heard about you", I smiled at him sweetly.

"Oh really?", he smirked. "Goods things, I expect", he added, raising an eyebrow. I was about to reply when I heard a droning voice come from behind me.

"Drakey! Drakey-poo! Where are you?" She screeched. I knew that voice all too well, Pansy Parkinson. I hated that bitch. I didn't have a specific reason as to why, she just got on my nerves.

"Ugh", I scoffed. Clearly catching Draco's attention.

"Woah, easy there Hufflepuff" he retorted, a smile appearing on his face. A genuine smile, it was beautiful. I could feel butterflies appear in my stomach. I brushed a piece of hair that was dangling in front of my face and tucked it behind my ear.

"Looks like I'm being summoned" he groaned, his smile diminishing from his face. "See you around, brown eyes", he said hesitantly turning on his heels towards the monotonous tone still coming from Parkinson.

"Bye", I breathed. Watching him walk away stuck in a trance, fixated on the blonde. I soon snapped back into reality realising if I didn't sprint to lesson this very second, I would most certainly be late.
