"pressure's dropping!"
"Scalpel!"
"They're too much bleeding, suction!"
Over 3 hours had passed and Sam still was in critical condition.
"What the hell even happened?"
"Multiple stab wounds with what seems to be glass shards. They got caught in the tissue of the patient's skin."
"If he survives, it'll be a miracle."
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Gabe was going slightly insane from listening to a clock tick for five hours in a waiting room. He'd tried calling Cas to tell Dean about what happened. No response. How unexpected.
Gabe gently curled up into a ball in the chair he was composed in, and tried not to think about the fact that his soulmate may be dying In the room next to him.
"Where's all this bleeding coming from?!"
"Check the kidney!"
"It's clear sir."
"Check it again!"
The room was frantic. A child dying out and no-one knowing how. Suddenly the resident had an idea.
"Didn't the chart say he had forgotten his friend's name constantly?"
"Yes..."
"So what if he has a brain contusion?"
"Ok get a head CT!"
The hours drew on.
A doctor walked towards Gabe.
He pulled him into a quiet area.
He told him that the most important, most amazing, most incredible person he'd ever meet was at peace.
Sam was dead.
