That Girl

The Next Day

I woke up and looked to my right, Emily was right there. I then looked to my left, the remote was there. It's pretty quiet so, the movies aren't playing. My head hurt and there was popcorn on the ground. I thought for a moment. I could barely remember more than the movies. Wait... the movies... I look to my left and I see the remote and it clicked. I sat there for a second and then realized that I didn't have clothes on and I started to freak out.

"Uhmm... What happened?" I looked over and Emily was staring right at me.

"We umm... We..." I paused. I pointed over towards our clothes. She started to blush terribly and we started to play tug-a-war with the blanket, trying to cover ourselves. We were acting like it was our first time, when really, it wasn't. Not even close to our first. Wait... Shit! I totally forgot about Page!

"Hey um... I gotta get moving soon." I put my underwear on and slid my sports bra on and grabbed my backpack. I stuck my hand in and fished out a folded piece of paper.

"I'm supposed to hang out with Page tonight." Emily gave me a look that said 'really?' and I shrugged it off and opened the paper and dialed the number written on it.

"Hello?"

"Hey, this is Kathryn."

"Hey! I was just wondering about when we could hang out. When do you think?"

"Today sounds fine to me but, could I come to your place instead? Mine's not one you'd like to take a girl." I heard her giggle, which made me smile a bit too much.

"Sure, that's fine with me. Mom's out every weekend and Monday. My address is..." Yes!

"Great, see you then."

"Bye, best friend!"

"Bye, babe." She hung up and I put the phone down, smiling. I then threw the rest of my clothes on and grabbed my bag.

"Gotta go, bye! Thanks for the sex!" I rushed out the door.

"Shut up, Asshole!" She said as threw her bra at me.

"Oh, thanks for the souvenir, foxy! I'll cherish it forever." I picked it up and blew her a kiss.

"Damn it, go the fuck away!" I laughed as I sprinted towards the address I was told. Luckily, I knew the street she lived on. I was so happy to come over to her place, I couldn't wait to see her. When I arrived, I saw this good-sized, red house with two cars parked out front. I got up on the porch and got ready to knock on the door and I froze for a second. I was scared now, I couldn't knock. I took a deep breath in and let it out. I reached my hand out towards the door and I raised my fist up. I was about to knock when the door swung open.

"Hi!!!" Page tackled me with a hug. I've only known you for a day and you ram into me with a hug? What??

"Um, well hi there." I said while she had her arms wrapped around my neck.

"Come on! Let's go to my room!" She took my hand and I looked and she jerked me to her room. She shut the door to her room and turned to look at me. She paused.

"Sorry... I never have friends over so, I'm kinda excited."

"Well, I'm glad I'm here. You're a very sweet girl and you deserve more friends than just plain ol' me." She smiled at that. That quick little movement made me swoon so hard. Oh, my heart!

"Thanks, Kathryn."

"Please, call me Kat." I meowed. Page laughed a bit.

"Alright, Kat. So, what do you like to do for fun? What are your hobbies? What food do you like?"

"Wow... you are excited." I chuckled a bit. "I like olives, mushrooms, and brussel sprouts. I usually just watch Netflix or talk to Emily, my um.. friend. My hobbies... I like to sing and dance around like an idiot." She chuckled.

"Well, I'm sure you have a lovely voice and 'groovy' dance moves."

"Heheh... Thanks." We talked for a while, making jokes, laughing, picking on each other.

"Let's go eat. I'm kinda hungry. What about you?" I nodded in agreement. She hopped up and grabbed my wrist. Oh, not again... she dragged me downstairs to the kitchen. I could smell something.

"Here, have some spinach pizza!" Page handed me a plate and sat down with hers. I dug in and it tasted so good, I almost cried.

"Yum!" It was so good that I was already halfway into my slice. Page laughed.

"I'm glad you liked it. Here, let me take your plate." Before I could say anything, she took my plate and began to clean it off. Page seemed to like me, not the way I did, though. One day, I'll get her. I'm sure of it! I couldn't wait to see her more.

"Hey, why don't you sleep over tonight? It's probably a long ways back home and the moon is already starting show. I don't want you to get lost in the dark." I wanted to so badly that I agreed. A bit later, I'm in her bed in my usual sleepwear, underwear and bra and so is she, right next to me. I was so uncomfortable to be able to feel her breasts on my bare back with her arm around me. We were spooning, too. I didn't want to hurt her feelings so I didn't say anything. After a while, I was starting to doze and I fell asleep.

"Hey, Kat?" I opened my eyes.

"Yeah?"

"Thank you for coming over. And I need to say something." Ohhh boy...

"What is it, Page?"

"I think I may like you but I'm not sure..." She tucked her head and knees in, looking like she was embarrassed. I was shocked, Speechless!

"I, um... I think I like you, too but, I-I don't know. I mean, aren't you straight...?" I was so confused on what was happening and what would happen between us.

"I don't know what to do but... Maybe we could kiss? To make sure. When two people kiss, it's a sign of affection and 90% of the time, they feel a deep connection. We could confirm it... If you want. I'm a bit nervous about it but, I'm willi-"

"Hey hey hey, it's okay. Why don't we try tomorrow, or Monday? We can wait a bit to figure out if it's just stress or us being tired. Alright?" She looked up at me, with tears in her eyes and nodded.

"Good night, Page."

"G'night, Kat." We both shut our eyes for the last time. I couldn't fall asleep, though. I was so confused about if she really did like me or what would happen to our friendship if she didn't. I finally just focused on my breathing and the thoughts slowly faded away. I was starting to calm down and I soon felt tired enough to actually sleep.
