Chapter 16~ Jay

Keith had been crying for a month now. It never left him. Not the sweet voice of Lance, or the scent of the ocean that lingered on his clothes. It haunted him like a nightmare, but somehow lance was always with him.
"See this bird?" Lance asked, pointing to a bright blue jay.
"Of course" Keith nodded.
"It's second half is as red as a sunset"

Keith remembered one of their chats, and had always cried after every chat.

Keith's Birthday was today and he didn't even remember it until Lance's mother brought him a piece of cake.
He hugged Lucus, and held back tears when he asked where Lance had gone.
But what had happened next made time stop.

"Lance?"
"Yeah, Keith."
"Your not dead?"
"No, Keith."
"Your alive?"
"Yes, Keith"
It seemed like a battle of questions.
"No one told me you were alive."
"I wanted to surprise you."
"So you are back?"
"Yes, Keith."
"For as long as I live?"
"For as long as you live."
Lance hugged Keith tightly, sore from his many surgeries during the month.
Keith cried loudly, but out of happiness too.
Pidge and hunk were crying silently, and Shiro had them in a bear hug.
"Do you remember talking to me in your dreams? Or when you were angry?" Lance asked.
"I thought I was just imagining it"
"No. I was there" Lance took Keith's hands in his and smiled softly.
Keith sobbed loudly and nodded.
"I told you about the blue jay, remember?"
Keith nodded once more, and paused as Lance leaned close to Keith, kissing him.
Keith's world stopped.
He's the Blue jay. I'm the sunset red.
"I-I-"
Lance smiled and put his hand on Keith's shoulder.
"Keith, i love you. I've loved you ever sense I met you, and I don't ever want to leave you" he said softly.
Keith smiled widely, his tears seemingly forgotten.
Pidge let out a squeak, and Hunk and Shiro smiled.
"I-I love you too Lance" Keith smiled and hugged Lance tightly.
"Keith, will you be my Boyfriend? Please?" Lance asked.
"I wouldn't want anyone else."
