If there is ever not a tag telling you who's pov it is, that means it's Nico's. K bye.
-time skip to next day-
I walked into the infirmary, groggy from lack of sleep. But I can help Nico today. I could do something. It was almost impossible to sit and watch him struggle. The pain in his eyes and how his angelic face contorted with pain. How as of now you could see through his leg. The mangled flesh on the inside. I shuddered. Poor Nico. I hate it! Why him? Annabeth should've been doing this! Not Nico! He's frail enough to begin with.
I love him. The way his eyes absorb all the light in the room. The way his long eye lashes brush to his cheeks. And, oh gods, the was he says my name. His Italian accent makes it sound like "Weel" instead of "Will". I love him. And he will not die.
Only then did I realize that I was already at his door for his room. I creaked open the door quietly incase he was asleep. What I saw horrified me. To my terror, Nico was white as paper. He appeared anemic, or dead. He looked worse than dead. I ran to his side to check his pulse. I grabbed his hand and swung it into my grip. I raised my two fingers to check his radial pulse. My fingers went straight through his wrist. No. No. No, I can't accept this. He couldn't fade. I needed my Nico.
To my surprise, he opened his eyes slowly. So, he was sleeping. I analyzed his eyes, waiting for him to talk. After what felt like years, he looked at me. His taupe and copper eyes studied me.
Suddenly, his eyes flashed to his hands. He contemplated me, asking with his eyes. I nodded, barely able to hold myself together. He couldn't fade. He is mine. He belongs here. With me.
