chapter 14

Demi's pov

norman was driving me to the hospital. i had so much pain and i was scared that something was wrong. "baby how are you doing?" i held my stomach. it couldnt describe the pain. "i dont know norman. it hurts." he placed his hand on my leg. "we're almost there sweetheart." he stopped at the emergency help. "can somebody help my girlfriend. something is wrong and she's pregnant." a nurse came rushing towards me immediatly. she put me in a wheelchair and drove me into a room. she told norman to wait in the waitingroom. they laid me on a bed and did all sorts of tests and took my blood. i had to wait for the results to know if anything was wrong. norman wasnt allowed in the room with me. i felt so alone and vulnerable. the doc came back in and i was nervous. "hey demi. we're gonna do an ultrasound again and search for the baby's heartbeat and we would have the results of your blood by that time." i nodded. "can norman be in here please? i just dont want too get through this alone if something is wrong." he smiled and agreed. one of the nurses called him and he was right by my side. "i'm here sweetie. how's the pain?" i sighed. "its weird its gone. it was like an attack but in my stomach." the doc was preparing my ultrasound. "we'll see how the baby is. it could be yer condition changing because you're pregnant." he traced my belly and i was holding my breathe, hoping my miracle would still be alive. He told me that i had a small abruptio placentae. It wasnt life treathing yet. They needed to follow me up and i needed to rest from now on. "What is going to happen when it gets worse?" Norman asked. "It can be dangerous for both of them. The baby can die and with demi's condition so could she." Norman squeezed my hand. "So she needs lots of rest? Then we make sure she does that. Does her attacks had something to do with her having this now?" He shook his head. "No this doesnt happen to a lot of people. She is just one of those people who arent so lucky." The doc let us listen to the baby's strong heartbeat and i needed to come back for a check up soon. He brought me back home were everyone was worried. "Hey sweetie how are you?" hilarie asked. "I need much rest from now on. My placenta came loose." They all looked so upset.

Norman's pov
I didnt know what to do. I was gonna leave soon and she wasnt able to do anything without risking more damage. "She just has to be carefull from now on." I was thinking if she wasnt able to go to work, maybe i could take her with me for a while. I loved emily so i would take care of her too. "Hey babe can we talk?" She frowned because i looked serious. "Yeah sure." We walked into another room. "Euhm i was wondering if you would be down to come with me for a while." Her eyes widened. "Norman are you serious? I'm not the kinda girl you wanna be seen with." I sighed. "Babe you need to stop that. I officially came out that we're thing. I want to walk the streets with you. I wanna hold you in my arms so they all can see that i'm happy and that this shit stops for good." She looked down. "What if they hurt me because i'm with you?" I wasnt suprised she was scared. I had crazy fans all over the world. "I wont let anything happen to you sweetheart. You're carrying my child and i love you. They need to understand that i'm not available anymore." She smiled. "What about my daughter?" "Lets take her with us." She sighed. "I dont want her to miss school. Maybe it isnt a good idea to bring her with us. If they bomb us, i dont want emily in the line of fire." I looked down. "I hate that people are like that. Now you cant even have you're girl with you. I cant ask you to leave her behind." She smiled. "If you can guarantee the safety of me and her then we both will join you." I smiled. "Babe i promise you i'll try and make this work. I just dont wanna leave you alone too long and if you come with me i just drag you everywhere i go." She chuckled. "Everywhere? I dont think your boss i gonna like me coming to the set." I frowned. "I just have to talk to scott and it will be okay." She huffed. "Well i guess we're coming with you then." I grabbed her and kissed her. We walked back into the roomwhere the rest were. "Hey guys guess who's going back to the states with me for a while?" They looked at demi and smiled. "Wow norman this is a big step. I'm so happy for you guys and she'll get to meet the others." JD said. "i just want her to be with me as much as i can." "dont worry buddy. if we're out i got her back. i promise. nobody is gonna get to her." cookie spoke out. he was a good guard and i trusted him to protect her. "When are we leaving?" She asked. "In a couple off days. I will make the arrangements for emily and you." she smiled and hugged me. "Are you sure you want us around?" I held onto her. "Sweetie, there is nothing i want more at this time." I kissed her forehead and left the room to make some calls as does she.

Demi's pov
I called dad. 'Dad?' 'Hmmm what's up?' 'I need to come and talk to you guys.' 'Thats sounds serious.' I chuckled. 'Yeah it is. Can we come over?' 'Yeah sure.' 'Okay we'll be right there.' We?' 'Yeah i'm bringing some peoole with me.' 'Okay.' I hung up the phone and told the rest we'll be going to my parents house. "Its okay. They are easy going people. My dad watches the walking dead with me." They smiled and norman came back in the room. "There. Its done. 2 more to travel with me." I smiled. "We're going to my parents house in a moment." His eyes widened. "Wow meeting the parents huh? I wasnt ready for this." I chuckled. "You're gonna take their daughter and granddaughter away for a while so its time." He blushed. They had a rental car that cookie would use to drive them around. Norman just took mine with emily and me. I told them where to stop and walked into my parents house. "Mom? Dad?" They came up and gasped who was in their living room. Norman looked nervous as hell. "Hi nice to meet you." "So you're the one who knocked up my daughter." I was so embarassed. "Dad! Dont.!" He chuckled. "I'm just messing with you. She speaks very highly of you and i trust her judgement." He smiled and shook normans hand. "Why did you want to see us. Everything okay with the baby?" "My placenta came loose a bit so i need to be careful and rest. Norman asked me if we wanted to come with him for a while." Their eyes widened. "Wow and how long? Isnt it too much trouble with emily?" Norman laughed. "I love kids and she's adorable. I dont mind taking care of her too." "What about your fans? Demi always says they're crazy. I dont want my daughter and emily being in the middle of it." "Thats why i'm there." Cookie said. "I wont let anyone near them and my wife too." "We'll be on the move a lot. I have filming and then ride and i'm just gonna take them with me." Norman said. "She's a grown woman. She can do what she wants. If she is so bold to trust you and go with you then we do too." He smiled. "I cant believe after all these years she finally has what she ever wanted." My mom said. "Yeah i dont regret meeting her. She changed my life for the better. I didnt know there were still women like her. She completely won me over just by being herself." He took out his phone and made a selfie with me, my daughter and him. He wrote 'my new family will join me for a while. Cant wait to have them by my side.' so sweet and kind. I couldnt wait to join him in what he does daily. I was gonna be the woman who would stand by her man. I retweeted his post. 'This man is my everything. He is so supportive. I will never love another like i love him.' He smiled at my captation and kissed me. "Me either sweetheart." He said to me.
