"Wishful Thinking"

I see her eyes from across the hall.
Her heavy stare makes me wanna fall.
She turns away and she'll never know.
The longing in my heart when I watch her go.
Here I sit, at home all alone.
Here I can cry, all on my own.
And I didn't know, until this day.
That my bleeding heart could ever feel this way.
I pushed it down, down deep inside.
These are the feelings I try to hide.
These painful thoughts I try to throw out.
But they come, bark barking like hungry hounds.
For her I would take 1,000 shots through my heart.
Keep her together even when I fall apart.
It's all wishful thinking.
It'll never be true.
There can't ever be a me and a you...
