I can feel it deep inside.
It can't hide.
All love that I had.
The love that me so glad.
I thought it had gone away.
Thought that was the price I had to pay.
You left me all on my own.
Cold and alone.
Nowhere to go.
Nowhere to run.
My heart was broken.
The tears began to fall.
I was backed a proverbial wall.
I WAS SHATTERED AND TORN.
THIS PAIN WAS MY CROWN OF THORNS.
I BORE THEM FOR NONE BUT MYSELF.
I put my heart on a shelf.
I told it too hide.
Hide from this pain I had shut inside.
So he took all that love and tucked it away.
He saved it all for this day...
Now it's back again.
Wasn't gone just hidden.
Something I thought was forbidden.
But it set me free.
Let me just be me.
Let me love you again.
Might not have been yours...
But you were my best friend.
