Chapter 7
Mason smiled. "Ah, but the funny thing is, my sweet Emily, our day is not yet over."
*Emily*
I was confused. "There's more?
"For you? There's never enough," Mason laughed.
I felt the heat rising once again to my cheeks. "Mason, you know you don't have to do any of this for me,"
Mason's hand went up to my now warm face. He smiled down at me. "I know what I do and don't have to do. It's my choice to do it, and I want to do it,
"Can I ask why you're doing it, though? I don't mean to sound blunt, but at the beginning of the day I thought we were going to end up doing something...different. But when you said its not the time, I wondered why we were in the perfect situation to do so. Were you just trying to tease me? Because it worked," I hung my head.
Mason looked hurt. "Em, you know that's not what I was trying to do, I didn't mean to make you feel that way. I just wanted you to feel extra comfortable when we talked, and I wanted it to be romantic while we learned more about eachother," His head drooped downwards.
Now it was my turn to feel bad. "Baby," I lifted Mason's face to look at me. "I didn't know, I was only thinking of myself. When you came into the water, and our bodies touched in a way that never had before, I couldn't help myself--"
"Trust me, neither could I. I didn't plan for it to go that way, but it did because of my feelings," Mason interupted.
"Because of OUR feelings. Mason things happen for a reason, and if it was meant to happen it would have. Sweetheart I'm proud of you for realizing that the time wasn't right, you are taking responsibility for something very important to the two of us, which I can honestly say you've never done before; it was always me who had to stop us from getting too far. That's why I trust you, Mason. I know that you believe the time isn't right, and that's why I believe it as well," I tried comforting him.
"You know, you make me fall a little harder for you every day," Mason smiled, holding me close to his rock hard body.
"I thought you always felt this way about me?" I teased.
"This time, it's different, Em. This time I feel stronger towards you, its not some cheesy childhood love that we had in the past. It's becoming real," Mason smiled.
"I agree, it has changed. But for the better," I added. "So, should we get dressed and head out? I'm getting anxious for what’s next," I winked.
"Yeah, let's get going. Um, Em?"
"Yes?"
"Want me to close my eyes as you get out?"
"It's not much of a surprise anymore," I laughed, signaling to my fully viewable naked body submerged in the clear bathwater.
"Well, I didn't try to peek. I knew you were uncomfortable, so I didn't want to see anything just yet. It's still a surprise to me," Mason blushed slightly.
"Really? That's the exact same thing I did with you. I kind of wanted to be surprised," I blushed in return. "Okay, close your eyes, then,"
Mason turned away from me and closed his eyes, covering them with his hands. I took the opporitunity to sneak up behind him and kiss his bare shoulders. He spun around quickly, grabbing my hands in the process. Boy, he was fast.
