Luna's POV

"Die you son of a-" The words left the gamer's lips as her mother opened the door, interrupting her. "Luna, pause this game." The older woman ordered as the teenager groaned mentally, "Mum! I'm gaming online! There is no pausing online especially when it's a boss battle!" She said and her mother just stared at her blankly, "No you aren't, you don't have your headset on. I'm not stupid." She said and the brunette sighed knowing that her mother was, unfortunately, right. She paused the game and put down her black colored controller. "Nice observation." Nina complimented, turning her chair around so she was facing her mother and not the tv.
"It's my job to observe people. And right now my job is telling me that you need sleep, fresh air, proper food and some excercise." Her mother said, opening the curtains and opening the window.
"I do excercise." Luna objected, wincing as the sunlight hit her eyes.
"No, you don't you just put on some sensor device and act as if you are excercising but you don't move a muscle."
"Yes, I do. The brain is a muscle."
"Nice try. This might work with your father bur not with me. Also the brain is an organ and this isn't something good for your brain. It kills creativity!"
"Have you seen the objects I built-"
"Not a word, young lady. I don't care how you built some fortress or something!" Her mother snapped, "you are either going hunting with your uncles or spending time with your cousins." She said.
Luna paled and her eyes widened, "C-cousins? No way in hell! I'm not risking being called a hermit or being made fun of for being physically weak!" She said, shaking her head and shuddering at the memories. Her father's side cousins would also pick on her and test their strengths with her being the victim or force her to do physical activities. Her mother's side cousin's would make fun of how pale she was and call her an anemic freak.
"Well maybe if you didn't spend all your time on that device you wouldn't be called a hermit or made fun of." Her mother retorted and exited the room.
Luna's normal playful smirk fell to a frown as she heard her mother say that. She took a pillow from ontop of the bed and screamed into it. It got her so mad how her mum would never understand, her dad tried to see the point but her mother just refused to try. Why can't she just accept that this is who I am?! I don't want to be a doctor nor do I want to be an athelete. I can't just be like my whole family.... I just want to be.. me. She thought and picked up her controller. She saved the game and exited it and went to grab her nerve gear. Hopefully her friend would be online.
