Genevieve's POV

I stood in my place though Alec and Jane were absent as they were on a mission as I awaited the Cullen's approach. I heard the sound of many footsteps approaching and smelt wet dog. Dad hissed in annoyance but I gave him a look that calmed him down. I put up my shield at Aro's request just as the doors opened.

The Cullen's came into the throne room and I immediately get eyes on me but my face stayed an emotional mask.

"Welcome to Volterra, I am so happy you could make it." Aro greeted while moving to take Carlisles hand. After a moment he pulled back and his smile faltered for a millisecond, leaving me questioning what he saw.

"So my old friend, your family will be staying in the west wing and then all will start tomorrow evening, please feel free to make yourself at home and explore Volterra." Aro stated with his usual smile and Carlisle nodded.

"Thank you old friend, and thanks for the invitation." Carlisle civilly thanked.

"Yes well it is time that Heidi brings lunch, so unless you would like to indulge I would suggest you leave. Felix please show them to there room, I will make sure to save one or two for you." Aro giggled and I felt the Cullen's turn to me.

"I'm sure my daughter could do it, Genevieve." Edward called out, obviously not understanding that I fed on humans. Caius growled lowly at Edward when he called me his daughter.

"Genevieve will be staying here considering she needs to eat as well." Caius growled while coming over to me. The Cullen's stared at me in shock and I felt awkward, not wanting to know all the horrible things they were thinking. Begrudgingly they left the throne room as the tourists entered and the guard immediately slaughtered them. I didn't waste time like I normally would torturing my meal, instead I drank quickly and went to find the Cullen's.

Following the scent of wet dog I found them all in rooms that were not far from mine and knocked. Bella's eyes widened when she saw me and immediately she pulled me into the room.

"What have they done to you? What did they do to force you to go on there diet, why were you acting that way in the throne room. Say the word and we'll get you away from these monsters." Bella rambled and I growled when she called my family monsters.

"I don't know what your talking about Bella, I have been feeding on humans since the witnesses told me it was possible. As for the Volturi they have treated me amazingly and don't judge me the way all of you clearly are." I told, my voice completely even as I stared each of my so called "family" in the eye before leaving the room and going to find my mother.

As I entered the tower mom looked at me while holding out her arms and I ran to her.

"They never deserved you angel." Mom mumbled and I nodded. Hearing the door open again I turned slightly to see dad moving towards me and I ended up in the middle of a hug by my favorite parents in the world.
