Then came the day the Kingslayer managed to escape the Starks, even only for a short time. On the way out he killed Lord Karstarks son. Evelyn Snow watched as the Northman pushed the Lannister back and forth, until Lord Karstark appeared.

"Where is he? I want his head!" Karstark shouts, just as the Northmen drew their swords on him. Although they wanted him dead also, their loyalties lied with King Robb. "Any man who stands between a father and his vengeance, asks for death."

Evelyn walked up then, with her sword in her left hand. "Lord Karstark, this man is our prisoner."

"This monster killed my son." he claims to Evelyn.

"And crippled my brother!" she shouts now. "You will have your vengeance, but not yet!"

"I will have his head, and if you will try and stop me-"

"What? You will strike her down?!" Lady Stark appears, with Lady Brienne following her shortly behind. Lady Brienne was a knight, but also a women. She recently sworn herself to Lady Stark. "Have you forgotten her, or me sir? I am the widow to your liege lord and the mother of your king!"

"And and where is our king now?" Karstark argued, but Evelyn stepped up.

"You know very well. He has gone to the Crag to accept the surrender." she tells him now, calmer.

"Aye, but not to negotiate. He brought that foreign bitch with him." Karstark said now, talking about Lady Talisa. Robb fell in love with her, and probably plans on marrying her. Which also threw away the deal he had with the Freys.

"How dare you!" Lady Stark says, as Brienne drew her sword.

"Threatening my lady is an act of treason!"

"Treason? How can it be treason to kill Lannisters?" Lord Karstark says, as Evelyn motioned to Brienne to put her sword down.

"I understand your grief my lord, but in the name of my son, the King in the North, stand down." she says now.

"When he returns, I will demand this murderer's head." Lord Karstark says now.

"Wise men do not make demands of kings." Evelyn tells him, as he stares at her coldly.

"Fathers who love their sons do." Lord Karstark says, finally storming off.

"Thank you for fighting on my behalf, Lady Stark and Lady Snow. I would have helped but-" Ser Jaime starts.

"Lock him in the stockades. Bind him with every chain you can find!" Lady Stark demands.

"Wow, she's really become a she-wolf hasn't she?" the Lannister added, but this time Evelyn shouted after them.

"And gag him! I'm tired of hearing him talk!"
