This time William did drop his phone. The device fell to the tile floor of his kitchen and laid there for a few seconds before he dropped to his knees and picked it up. The screen was cracked in the middle but the call was still connected. He held it at arm's length from him but his brothers voice still sounded clear, indicating he's yelling.
"Will?"
He switched the call to speakerphone and set down on the floor, his back against the cabinets.
"Will are you still there?"
"Yeah I'm ... I'm still here. Uhm ... what?"
"Listen, you sound pretty fucked up bro. Are you sure you can hear this?"
"Uh ... yeah... yeah it's...cool, tell me."
"Okay. How about you just sit down and try not to have a panic attack. I'm gonna send you some links. Okay?"
"Yeah."
"And bro? You owe me big time."
With that Alex hung up and left him alone. The floor was cold and it started to creep up to him. He couldn't remember how long he sat there but he snapped out of his daze of "Y/N is a mum" when he heard his front door open. He wasn't very generous with his door keys, the only ones that had one are his brother, his parents, and...
"Willy?!"
Kappy.
The Finn called his name again and this time William stood up and made his way out of the kitchen. He didn't want his friend to think he wasn't alright. While he was walking into the living room he used the sleeve of his shirt to wipe the wetness of his eyes away. He didn't cry but it was a close call.
"Hey. What are you doing here?"
Kasperi wordlessly handed him his phone. On the screen was a message from a familiar number.
My brother is having a mental breakdown
Can you check on him
-alex
He handed it back and sat down on the sofa.
"I'm fine."
Kasperi sighed loudly and sat down next to him.
"Dude... you're not. I'm your friend man, I can tell when something upsets you. Now tell me."
"My ex has a kid."
Next to him Kappy exhaled loudly.
"Wow. Okay. It's not yours though, is it?"
"No. I haven't seen her in like, three years. It's just hard, you know? Back then I thought she was the one but she just left me. It's whatever. I'll live."
"If you say so. Hey you got any any beer? Alcohol mends broken hearts."
Half an hour later the boys were watching last nights game on tv when William suddenly remembered something. He brought his hand up and dragged it over his face.
"Hey can you give me my phone? Alex said he'd sent me some info about her."
Kasperi picked his phone up from the table the boys had rested their feet. He knew William's pass code and tipped it in not giving the phone to him.
"Are you sure you want to see that?"
"Yeah. To get closure or whatever. I'm over her, I just want to see how she's doing."
Unsure if he could believe his friend Kasperi decided to check the links Alex had sent first. He found them easily and after he clicked on the first one he found the some ask page that talked about Willy's love live. As he read through the story he decided that maybe his friend wasn't as over it as he said he was and moved a bit further away from him on the couch.
He clicked on the second link and had to try really hard to not drop his jaw, instead he let out a whistle.
"Damn ... Are you sure she's your ex? She looks a bit too good for your sorry ass."
Maybe teasing wasn't the best way to go but the picture he saw was beautiful. He was about to comment on your figure when he saw the mum part about you. With you on the picture wasn't just one baby like he assumed. Two tiny faces with rosy cheeks and matching hats were smiling brightly. Kasperi took a closer look at the picture when he realized something and immediately  increased the space between the two of them even more and looked at his friend questioning, phone clutched tightly to his chest.
"How long ago exactly did you two break up?"
