Rogue -The Avengers-

N I N E T E E N

     All of a sudden Robots flew in and started shooting at everyone! 

     Steve kicked a table and he fell backward! Hill fell to the ground and started shooting them! Rogue jumped behind the couch knowing her power of absorbing won't work on them, they are robots! Thor hit the Robots coming at him with his hammer! Tony was blasted through the bookshelf and Rhodey was blasted through the glass falling to the next level! Natasha and Bruce jumped behind the bar! And Clint went behind the Piano!

     Rogue pulled out her gun and started shooting the robots but she ran out of ammo! A robot came at her and she put her hands up shielding herself when the Robot split in half! She was confused but quickly realized it was her powers... She had to try to control them in order to help. She stood up and moved her hands to rip the robots apart that were coming at her! She didn't know how she was doing it but she did it.

     Tony jumped from the high part onto one of the Robots backs. He had some kind of pen device in his hands and he was trying to enter it into the bot. 

     "Stark!?" Steve asked as he was pushed down by the bot!

     "One sec! I got this!" He told Steve as the bot was malfunctioning.

     Clint grabbed Steve's Shield while Tony got the pen in and the bot powered down! "Cap!" Clint yelled as he threw the Shield to Steve, he caught it and took out the last robot!

     They all stopped fighting and turned to Ultron...

     "That was dramatic. I'm sorry, I know you mean well... You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to evolve?" Ultron asked as he picked up a split-in-half dead robot that Rogue had taken out, "with these? These puppets. There's only one path to peace. The Avengers extinction."

     Thor threw his hammer killing the robot Ultron was in! 

     "I had strings, but now I'm free." It sang before the blue went out...

     Everyone sat in the lab... Bruce went through the files, Rhodey got patched up, Rogue was shaking a bit from using her telekinesis, and everyone was pretty shaken up. 

     "All our work is gone, Ultron cleared out. He used the internet as an escape hatch." Bruce told them.

     "He's been in everything; files, surveillance. Probably knows more about us than we know about each other," Natasha said.

      "He's in your files, he's in the internet. What if he decides to access something little more exciting?" Rhodey asked.

     "Nuclear codes," Hill realized.

     "Look, we need to make some calls, assuming we still can," Rhodey said.

     "Nukes? He said he wanted us dead," Rogue responded as she held her shaking hand, she finally looked up from her hand and at them.

     "He didn't say dead. He said extinct." Steve interrupted.

     "It's pretty much the same thing," she says. 

     "He also said he killed somebody," Clint spoke up.

     "There wasn't anyone else in the building," Hill said confused.

     "Yes, there was," Tony walked over and enlarged a card revealing Jarvis... That was all broken apart and had specks of blue in it...

     "Jarvis..." Rogue realized.

     Bruce walked over to it, "this is insane," he spoke.

     "Jarvis was the first line of defense, he would have shut Ultron down... It makes since," Steve said looking down.

     "No, Ultron could have assimilated Jarvis. This isn't strategy, this is rage," Bruce explained.

     Rogue crossed her arms feeling disturbed, "artificial intelligence," she glanced at Tony and the at Bruce, "why did you two think this was a good idea?"

     "I-"

     Right then, Thor stomped in and grabbed Tony by the neck cutting him off! 

     "It's going around," Clint told.

     "Thor!" Rogue scolded but he didn't stop.

     "Come on, u-use your words, buddy," Tony tried to reason with him!

     "I have more than enough words to describe you, Stark," Thor hissed at him angrily, he wasn't the only one.

     "Thor. The legionnaire?" Steve asked.

     Thor let go of Tony and Tony stumbled back catching his breath, "trail went cold about 100 miles out, but it's heading North. And it has the Scepter. Now we have to retrieve it, again," Thor explained.

     "Genie's out of that bottle. Clear and present is Ultron." Natasha spoke.

     "I don't understand," Cho spoke up and everyone looked at her, "you built this program. Why is it trying to kill us?"

     Tony walked over to the computer and then he started to giggle. Everyone looked at him as he began to laugh. Bruce shook his head as if to say not okay, Tony looked at him but still laughed. 

     "You think this funny?" Thor asked.

     Tony turned to him. "No, it's probably not, right? This is very terrible. Is it so..." He laughed again, "it is. It's so terrible," Tony said as if it was a joke.

     "This could have been avoided if you hadn't played with something you didn't understand," Thor scolded him.

     "No. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It is funny, it's a hoot that you don't get why we need this," Tony said as he walked up to Thor.

     "Tony, maybe this might not be the time..." Bruce told him.

     Tony turned to Bruce, "really? That's it? You just roll over, show your belly every time somebody snarls?" he snapped at him.

    "Only when I created a murder bot," Bruce shot back at him.

    "We don't need this, Tony," Rogue spoke as she stood up "you just guessed that all of us wanted and needed this. I understand why you did it but it was poorly executed."

    "You don't get a vote in what this world needs, Rogue," Tony turned to her, "you always put your own earth before this one. That's why I don't trust you on missions!"

    "Excuse me?" She felt anger and heartbreak rush through her, "this is my home now! I care about the people here! I will always fight for this Earth!"

     "Will you?" Tony asked glaring at her.

    "That's enough, Stark!" Steve spoke up, "I trust her with my life and right now. You have endangered all of our lives! The Avengers were supposed to be different than SHIELD." 

    "Anybody remember when I carried a nuke through a warm hole? Saved New York? Recall that? A hostile alien army came charging through a hole in space. We're standing 300 feet below it. We're the Avengers," Tony looked at all of them, "we can bust arms dealers all live long day, but up there, that's... that's the Endgame. How were you guys planning on beating that?" Tony asked.

     "Together," Steve answered.

     "We'll lose," Tony told him.

     "Then, we'll do that together, too," Steve answered. "Thor's right. Ultron's calling us out. And I'd like to find him before he's ready for us. The world's a big place. Let's start making it smaller."
