It was a Sunday night and tomorrow was Monday. Which meant school. It has been a week now that I met Asher. Over the past week, he had grown close to our group and we had welcomed him in our group. Now he was one of us. Sure, he was still annoying as hell, but I could bear him.

After dinner, I took a shower. After I was done, I dried myself and changed into one of Cam's oversized shirt and a pair of my pyjama shorts. I left my damp hair open and walked out of the bathroom. Deciding to read, I took a copy of "Looking for Alaska" by John Green and went over to my bed. I lay down on my stomach and started reading.

Halfway through Chapter 9, an hour later, I heard loud music coming from outside my room. I looked out of my window and saw Asher in the room opposite to mine, singing along at the top of his voice. And let me tell you, he was a horrible singer. I groaned. Oh, yeah, he also had the room opposite to mine.

I opened my window and leaned out a bit, knocking at his window. Yeah, the distance was that short. Curse the stupid architect. Asher looked over and grinned in amusement when he saw me.

"Cupcake. Missing me already?" He asked the grin still on his face.

"You wish, asswipe," I scoffed. "Turn down the volume, would you?"

"And why would I do that?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Because, unlike you, some people like to read in their rooms peacefully without the loud voice of music accompanied by the singing of a donkey," I glared at him.

"Did you just insult my singing skills?" he asked, looking offended.

"I guess I did." I smirked.

"I have the best voice in the world, okay? No one can beat me," he said airily, putting his hand on his hip and posing sassily.

I burst out laughing, because he looked absolutely ridiculous. Seconds later, he joined me.

"Just turn down the volume," I said, sobering up.

"No can do, sugar," he winked and before I could protest, he turned around and walked away, leaving his window wide open.

I sighed and shut my window, but that didn't help. I lay down on my bed and continued reading. A few minutes later, I realized that it wasn't possible to read, so I shut the book and turned off the lights, trying to sleep.

The next day, I woke up at six thirty and made my way towards the bathroom. After doing my business and brushing my teeth, I took a long shower. As I stepped out of the shower, I examined my face in the mirror above the sink and sighed. I looked like a zombie. I had dark circles under my eyes and I looked very tired.

Last night, I couldn't get much sleep because of my stupid neighbour. Around midnight, he decided it would be fun to put on some metallic music and didn't turn it off till 3 in the morning.

I put on a crop top and denim shorts along with my ankle length boots. I coated my lips with a slight pink tinge of gloss and covered my lashes in a coat of mascara, lining my eyelid with eyeliner.

"Hey mom," I said as I walked into the kitchen and plopped down on a chair, placing my bag on the floor.

"Hey sweetie." Mom said as she placed a plate consisting of two slices of bread, scrambled egg and crispy bacon in front of me.

"Where's dad?" I asked as I took a bite of my breakfast.

"He's at work, honey. He had to leave early today," she replied.

"Oh. What about Cam?" I asked.

"He will be down any minute now."

I heard footsteps running down the stairs and immediately pulled out my phone. My twintuition said that Cam was going to do something stupid and I had to record it. I pressed the start button on my phone's video recorder, just as the show started.
