"Bye mom, I've got to go now. I'll call you once I reach there. Love you, take care," I said and hung up the phone. Today was Friday. School got over an hour ago and now we were ready to hit the road. Grabbing my bag, phone and camera, I walked out of my room and down the stairs. Cam was outside with his bags, making sure everyone had come. I took the snack bag from the kitchen and walked out the front door, locking it behind me.
I walked up to the others who were idling around in front of Asher's house. Noah and Mason were sitting on the roof of Jasper's Toyota. Cam was busy stuffing the bags in the trunk of his car. Em and Rose were standing next to Jasper's car, talking to each other in excited tones. Jasper and Asher were nowhere to be seen.
"Hey guys," I said, handing my bag to Cam.
"Hey H," Em and Rose said, giving me small hugs.
"This is going to be so amazing!" Em gushed, clapping her hands and jumping up and down like a five-year old kid.
"Yea, it's going to be awesome," I agreed, nodding my head.
"Hails, do you think we should have brought cards?" Mason asked, hopping off of the car roof. Noah followed him, but lost his balance and fell face first on the gravel driveway. He groaned and got up, rubbing his nose.
"Why would you of all people want cards? You and Noah can't play cards even if your life depended on it," I laughed. It was true. The only game both of these idiots could play was poker.
"We could have played strip poker," Noah shrugged and hugged Emily from behind, giving her a chaste kiss on the cheek which caused her to giggle.
I rolled my eyes at him and turned around to find Asher and Jasper walking towards us with two boxes in their hands. Mrs. Woods and Daphne were standing on the porch. On seeing me, Daphne let go of her mother's hand and came running towards me, her blonde pigtails bouncing and blue eyes shining.
"Hailee!" she said in her adorable five-year old voice.
"Hey Daphy," I said, picking her up and spinning her once. She giggled loudly at the nickname I had given her. I set her down and turned towards Mrs. Woods, who had followed Daphne.
"Hello, Mrs. Woods. Thanks for letting us use your cabin for the weekend." I said and gave her a small hug. She was a pretty woman, with emerald eyes and brown hair like her son. We had talked a few times. She was a very nice and kind woman.
"No problem, dear. And please call me Amanda." She replied with a dazzling smile.
"Okay," I grinned sheepishly.
After talking for a few more minutes, Cam informed us that we were ready to go. It was decided that Cam, Rose, Asher and I would be in Cam's car while the rest will be in Jasper's.
"Come on sunshine, let's get going," Asher said, draping an arm around my shoulders. I picked it up and dropped it to his side. He chuckled and shook his head at me. After giving a hug to his mom and kissing Daphne on the cheeks, Asher got into the car and I followed him. Rose called shotgun so I was stuck in the back.
We waved bye to Amanda and Daphne as Cam pulled out of the driveway, followed by the other car.
"Here we go!" Cam hollered.

"I'm bored," I whined half an hour later. One thing you need to know about Asher is that he sucked at 'I Spy'. Cam refused to turn on the radio because he claimed that he was a 'wise driver' and he didn't want any distractions. Rose was passed out in the passenger seat.
"Why don't you play something else? Something that he can play?" Cam suggested, smirking at Asher. Asher just huffed and looked out of the window.
I groaned and sat back in my seat, thinking of some game. Suddenly an idea popped into my mind and I grabbed Asher's arm, causing him to look at me.
