Chapter-9

When I woke I could hear some noises, someone talking, scratching and lots of whispering. I sat and while I streched my arms I found a huge mob staring at me that made me scream. And at once Jason came by my side saying,
"Hey, it's fine. These people are here to help us."
I felt a sense of embarrassment for a moment. We all sat in a circle and Jason along with a man stood in the centre directing everyone how to get out of this situation and fight Klaus. These people were too a werewolf. But they had family.
These people directed us to their home where they had been living for all these years hiding from Klaus.
I looked at Jason, he smiled back at me from one end of the room. I wonder how all these people lived here. They were quite in number and the home didn't seem much big to accommodate all.
"Didn't I tell you people that he'll come. He'll come to save us, grandson of The Great Lucas", an old lady entered the room saying this.
She clasped her hands on both sides if Jason's face and placed a kiss on his forehead. Jason held her hands and smiled at her.I couldn't understand what was this all about and who was The Great Lucas.
A young girl took the lady inside a room and I followed them.
She glared at me and beckoned me to sit next to her.
"What is your sweet name, young lady?", she asked.
"Katherine", I replied.
"So you are the one who is having the moonstone", she said giving a broad smile.
I looked at her and wondered how come she knows that I have the stone.
"Why make such face? Did I say something wrong?", she laughed.
"How did you know that I have the stone?", I asked.
"Jason's grandfather had given this stone to his wife before marrying her as a symbol of love. She was also a normal human like you. He was the Alpha wolf. No one could ever match with his powers. But eventually he died saving his love. Sicnce his death we, werewolves have been like this under the torment of that cruel creature living in the palace where Jason was suppose to be. And if you are sitting among us inspite of being a human that clearly depicts that he has chose you as his soul mate and this stone is the symbol of his love for you."
I couldn't resist myself from smiling.
"But remember, always be his strength not his weakness", she said with a serious tone.
I couldn't understand what she meant by saying this.
I came out of the room and started thinking about the things she said. I looked at the sky which was covered with dark puffy clouds. I wasn't getting a good feeling. My heart felt heavy for no reason.
Suddenly a hand came from behind and wrapped my waist and kissed my cheek.
"Is everything ok now?", I asked.
Jason turned me over and looking into my eyes he said,
"You don't need to worry about anything. You just stay here while I along with the others will go to fight Klaus."
"What? No, I'm not staying here. I'll go with you!"
"No, its too dangerous. You'll stay here and thats final."
He placed a kiss on my lips and our hands sliding against each other he went away.
I stayed still. I didn't made a move and watched him going with his men. Part of me wanted to stop him, I wanted to hold his arm and beg him not to go. I knew this was dangerous and his life was at stake but
the other part said no. He was meant to do this. He was the only hope for all these people who have been struggling to live for the past years.
As he made his way he looked back at me,our eyes met and without saying a word I understood what he was trying to say. He wanted me to have faith in him and to wait until he returns back. I smiled back and he was gone.
With his every step that he took to go near that devil, it became difficult for me to breathe. I could not control and tears filled my eyes and blured my vision.It felt as if a soldier has gone to fight a war for his country and his family is left behind waiting in hope for him to return back alive.

It had been an hour that they were gone. My body couldn't settle in peace. I along with three young ladies and the old woman were sitting together in a room waiting for them to return when we all heard a loud explosion outside the house.
We all rushed out to see what was that all about. The moment we set our foot out we saw Klaus's men around. They were quite in a number.
"What do you want now?", shouted the old lady.
But they didn't bother answering and one of the men grabbed my hand covered my face with a black cloth, tied my hands took me along with them. I no longer could see a thing or say something. I could only hear the screaming and shouting of the ladies telling them to stop and then I heard the sound of a gun shot and the crying which initially started fading slowly-slowly.
