Just The Best Friend- CH *Completed*

Chapter 1

*Ali's POV*

I hear a knock on my door before I hear Calum yell "Ali! We gotta go!"

"Coming Cal," I shout back. At the moment, we're at home in Australia, we're going to New Zealand next month. The boys are the opening act for One Direction on their 'Take Me Home Tour'. It's pretty cool, we have travelled to so many different places. The only thing, that gets annoying, is Harry Styles and his playful flirting. Luke hates it and has told him off several times for 'hitting' on me. 

But of course, he doesn't listen. Although I don't know why Harry bothers, probably just to stir Luke up or tease me or something. But lately Luke is nothing compared to Cal when Harry flirts. It's pretty weird because Calum is usually a lax guy, but every time Harry begins to flirt, Cal seems to pounce on him.

Maybe breaking up with Ellie did something to him. You see Cal was dating my other friend Ellie for 6 months before she broke it off. When I asked her why, she told me he was in love with someone else and she didn't want to be stuck in a one sided relationship. When I asked who he was in love with she said "You will either find out or you won't ". Which is pretty confusing if you ask me?

I run downstairs and through the lobby before running to the white Lexus SUV. It was the car Harry hired, so I knew he was driving, and the One Direction boys were inside. I walked towards the back seat before realising it was all full with Michael sitting on Calum's lap and Luke on Ashton's meaning the only seat available is in the front… with Harry. I go to open the front door when Michael steps out

"Hey, I'll sit in the front so you're not stuck with Harry," he says quickly.

"Ok," I reply smiling.  I go inside and Calum pats his lap. I sit down on his lap and he puts the seatbelt around us and his arms circle my waist.

"Don't want you falling off now do we?" he asks cheekily.

"Nope," I reply smiling.

The rest of the car ride is pretty crazy and full on. Having Louis Tomlinson sit in your seat in an 8 seater is quite annoying. Especially since he started playing soccer, which has improved his kicks.

"Louis quit it!!" Cal yelled. Causing everyone to look towards us.

"Cal, it's ok, we're almost there, we can pay him back later," I whisper smirking. "Ok, we can brainstorm tonight. My room pizza, junk food, movies, at 8? The concert ends at 10 but because we only need to be there til 7 we can be outta there and in my room by 8?" he asks.

"Ok, you bring the food and movies, I'll bring the blankets and pillows," I reply grinning.

"Just some Ali and Cal time hey?" He asks. I nod. We finally arrive at the arena and I'm first out of the car someone, probably Luke, just let off a bit of gas and it wasn't pleasant to my nose.

"Luke!" I shout in disgust. He looks at me sheepishly. I just roll my eyes and walk to their dressing room. I hate just sitting here doing nothing  but I'm not allowed to do anything. Last time I tried to help I nearly burnt the arena down. If it weren't for Ashton coming in and finding a fire hydrant. I would probably be dead along with thousands of other people. Don't ask me what happened because honestly? I myself isn't sure. It just… happened.

"Ali Cat?" I hear a voice.

"In here!" I exclaim. Suddenly the door swings open and 4 members of a band are staring at me.

"Ok, make sure you don't go anywhere, Ed is just out here if you need him. We have to go to clothing and hair. We will come back and get our makeup done before sound check. Ok?" Luke asks.

"Yes sir," I say saluting him. He blows me a kiss before walking away, a tradition we have had since we were tiny. If one of us were to leave, the one leaving would blow the one staying a kiss and the other would catch it. You're probably wondering who Ed is, Ed is my bodyguard. Yes, I have my own bodyguard.

Again, Luke is super protective. I get up before walking to the fully stocked fridge and grabbing a bottle of lemonade and a KitKat. I curl up on the couch deciding that if I'm to have a movie night with Cal then I better catch some z's now. I close my eyes and I suddenly fall asleep.

"Aww she's so cute." someone says before I hear a phone's camera shutter.

"If you put that up on Twitter she will kill you," someone else, maybe Calum, says with emphasis on the 'kill'.

"I know, but I don't care, I'm older than her," the first voice says again.

"By two days mate," a third voice chirps. I slowly open my eyes and blink  a couple times.

"Who's gonna kill who?" I ask sleepily.

"No one babe, just go back to sleep, your gonna  need it if we're having a movie night tonight," Cal says.

"But what about sound check?" I yawn.

"You can come next time," Michael says. I nod sleepily before shutting my eyes. Suddenly I jolt awake as I hear a massive bang.

"Oops, so sorry," a random voice says. 

"Uh, who are you?" I ask the girl standing in the dressing room.

"Andy, I was looking for Harry Styles" she replies, I do a once over, she's quite pretty… not fake or tanned… not usually Harry's type. She must've seen my confusion.

"Childhood best friend, who are you?" she says smirking.

"Ahhhh! Same as you… except Luke's. He's about to go on stage but if you want to wait for him, the room next door should be the boys," I say, checking the clock.

"Thankyou!" she replies.

Suddenly I wake up from a terrible nightmare. I wake up shaking with tears streaming down my cheeks. Suddenly the boys walk in laughing and smiling. Suddenly Ash notices me as I try to dry my tears.

"Ali! What's wrong?! Did someone hurt you?! What's wrong?!" He exclaims. Suddenly Luke notices and is by my side before you could say 5SOS. He pulls me into his lap and I cuddle into him.

"I had a bad dream," I say into his shirt. He rubs circles on my back. Cal sits down beside Luke and hands me some tissues. Michael sits on Lukes other side and Ashton sits beside Mikey. I crawl across the four boys before laying my head in Calum's lap and the rest of me across the other 3. Cal plays with my hair for a while.

"Would you like to go back to the hotel?" Cal asks.

"Ok," I say smiling. Feeling a whole lot better about the dream.

"Piggyback?" Luke asks.

**A/N first chapter :) Im kinda proud but I know that over the period of time that i'll be writing this book, that it will improve a lot :) It is my third fan fiction but in my head it's my first because i'll hopefully update quicker :) Anyway thanks for reading xx**
