"Snowflakes are falling. They fall farther away. I miss you (I miss you). I miss you (I miss you). How much more do I have to wait?" ~BTS (Spring Day)
I continued to walk to the gymnasium with Nayeon by my side. Our walk was quiet, but I had a feeling that Nayeon wanted to say something. I just didn't know what she needed to say. So, instead I decided to break the silence. "What are we doing today?" It was a good question to start a conversation. "You'll find out soon..." Nayeon replied back shortly in an irritated tone. "Is there something wrong?" I asked her and she suddenly stopped to look at me in the eye. Her eyes were full of sadness; it was unlike of her. "Why? Why did it have to be you? Out of everyone in this camp, he chose you!" I was merely confused so I didn't say anything. "Taeyeon, please tell me that you won't go out with him?! That you won't fall in love with him?" She grabbed my hands and squeezed them tight. I chuckled to ease the tension.
"What're you talking about?" I had a feeling that it was about Baekhyun, but I asked her just in case. "It's about Baekhyun! I told you that I like him a lot. Please promise me that you won't betray me and that you won't accept him. It's wrong to date your friend's crush." I laughed like a maniac from her favor. "That's never going to happen. Baekhyun is not that kind of person to ask a girl out on a date or something," I rolled my eyes and watched Nayeon's reaction. She finally smiled from my response and sighed in relief. "Thank goodness! But it really looked like he was about to kiss you back there..." I punched her arm lightly. My cheeks turned bright red. I wanted to tell her that it was true that Baekhyun was about to kiss me, but I couldn't tell her that and I didn't know why. "Maybe you mistook it the wrong way." I formed a thin smile and Nayeon nodded.

We made it to the gymnasium with the other team colors. I went to the pink colored flag, and once again Yoona's glare was a sign that I arrived late and of course she was disappointed. I took off my coat and wiped off the sweat from my forehead. "It's so hot in here!" I scanned my surroundings and other people were busy socializing or just doing random things. "Oh sorry. Should I leave?" Jessica said out of nowhere and pointed at herself. I laughed from her sarcastic remark.
"I heard that we're doing something boring today," Jessica said in a tired voice. The other team colors were busy huddling as if they were a football team. Meanwhile our team did nothing as we all stood there with bored faces. I exhaled loud enough for the team leaders to look at me with a strict look. Solar blew her whistle and gestured for all of us to come together. We formed a big circle and listened to whatever she had to say, "Today we will have a sledding competition!"
I wanted to leave so desperately. I had terrible memories of sledding. One time I couldn't control my sled;I crashed into a tree and got a concussion and sprained my ankle. I didn't want that to happen again. "Let's put our hands together and on the count of three we yell "go pink go!" got it?" Sooyoung instructed us and we all nodded. We put our hands in the circle and yelled with little enthusiasm, "Go pink go!"
My eyes drifted away from our team as I tried to find a certain person. He wasn't there at the moment, probably at prison still with Gdragon. A bitter feeling crept inside of me once I found out that he wouldn't be joining us. Suga and I made eye contact, and I looked away from embarrassment. I really hoped that he didn't remember what happened yesterday-of me throwing up-otherwise he would think of me as that girl who couldn't handle her liquor. Which by the way is false since I don't get drunk easily. "What a lie!" The angel voice shouted in disbelief.
Suga bumped into me with tired eyes. I pretended not to notice him. "Oh hey it's you. The girl who couldn't handle her liquor," he chuckled. I bit my lip from embarrassment as I slowly nodded. "How're feeling?" Suga asked me and I was quite surprised since he was the type to just stay out of people's business. I was about to answer him back, but Jessica interrupted our conversation.
"Suga stop flirting it's not your style," she patted his back, and he kept his mouth shut afterwards.
Lisa joined us outside with an exhausted expression. I had a feeling that she wouldn't last even for a day at this camp without her junk foods and carbonated drinks. The worst part was that she was my partner for the sled competition. Don't get me wrong, Lisa is as light as a feather. However, she was so low on energy that I almost had to drag her up the snowy hill. We made it to the top-barely and out of breath-with the opponent team color which was green.
I read their nametags from their backs: Hyuna and Minzy and they both looked so fit. Their competitive glares almost took the heart of me. "I think we're going to lose. We should just stay up here and lay down on the snow." Lisa suggested and I almost slapped her face to bring her back to reality. I wanted to win since our team color was in last place, and I heard that the punishment for the loser team would be something so horrid. I shuddered at the thought of running out in the snow with bright red, tight shorts on. We would become the laughingstock at this camp by the end of the week.
I sat in the front while Lisa sat behind me on the sled. My nerves were out of control. "What if we get into another accident again?" The angel voice whispered. I decided not to think about negative outcomes, but boy it was hard since I'm never an optimistic person.
The green team was ready to go. I held onto the reigns that controls the sled tightly. Lisa hugged my waist, almost to the point of losing my breath. She was scared to death. The hill that we're on top of right now was about 11 meters high. I wasn't that scared, but Lisa was scaring me the most since she might mess me up. Who knows, we might even end up tumbling down like Jack and Jill.
I kept my eyes locked down at the bottom of the hill-the finish line-with our team cheering us on. Maybe it was just my bad vision, but I saw Baekhyun standing at the bottom of the hill. I felt relieved to see him, and a part of me missed him for some reason. Gosh, there was something wrong with me. I just wanted to reach the bottom already.
We saw the green flag that someone was holding at the bottom of the hill. The person waved it up high signaling that it was time to go. And just like that we sled down the hill with screechy screams and our faces meeting the cold air. We were going pretty fast, almost too fast. I glanced at the green team who were slower than us, and I smiled proudly. "I think we're going to win!!!" I shouted. Suddenly Lisa hugged my waist very tightly and it took me by surprise. I lost control of the sled and my breath.
Memories flashed before my eyes, and before I knew it; we crashed into a tree. The impact was so strong that I was knocked out in an instant. Then darkness took over me, and all I heard were voices coming towards us.
