(A/N: Happy Birthday!!!! Just Kidding. I decided to go ahead and update for those who actually read my story. Guess what? For once, I've been writing in Ross' POV. I've never really done it before, but I'm trying to improve my writing skills. Anyways, In this chapter, just pretend that Leilani and Ross made up these songs (pretend that only ROSS wrote 'One Last Dance' and LEILANI wrote 'A Drop In the Ocean'). Thanks!!!!)

Ross POV

I woke up the next morning exhausted. For the first time in my life, I cried over a girl. I slowly walked into the guest room's bathroom and brushed my teeth and washed my face. I walked down the stairs, taking each step slowly. What happens if she's down there? What is she gonna say to me? She probably never wants to see me again.

When I reached the bottom, I took a deep breath before entering the kitchen. When I did, Everyone was sitting at the table, waiting on their food. My mom smiled warmly when she saw me. I knew Riker or Rydel probably overheard me and Leilani talking and told her. Leilani was listening to some music and had her back turned to me, so she didn't turn to greet me. Great, now I don't have to deal with looking into her eyes.

"Good Morning, Rossy." My mom said.

"Morning. Hey, dad."

"Good Morning, Ross. Well, that's it for me. I gotta go deal with some business with Ryland. Let's go." My dad said. He and Ryland hopped up and kissed mom goodbye. Ryland hugged Leilani, and my dad kissed the top of her head.

"Breakfast is almost ready!" Riker hollered. I walked over to my seat infront of Leilani, next to my mom. When I sat down, Leilani looked up. She took off her head phones and stared at me for a moment. I knew she could see the bags under my eyes, and the tears pooling in them.

"Good Morning, Ross." She said as she stared blankly.

"Good Morning." I said, holding back tears. Her eyes, that were usually hazel and bright, were now and mid-brown and dull. She looked like she was hurt, but refused to let it show in front of my family. Just then, Riker and Rydel came back with breakfast. They had made pancakes, eggs, and bacon. They gave everyone a plate, except for Leilani. She put her headphones on the counter and was amazed to find a home-made toaster strudel sitting in front of her. Riker smiled, obviously noting that he had made it specially for her. She smiled widely. She actually looked happy.

"Thank you, Riker." She said. Her soothing voice floated into my body and warmed me up inside.

"No problem." He said. Out of nowhere, he bent down and kissed her cheek. Don't do that, I thought, That's MY job. She's MY girl.

Just as I was about to say something to him, I recalled the events from last night. I closed my open mouth and stared.

Leilani POV

I can't believe he actually made the toaster strudel for me!! He just made my life a little bit better. When he gave me a kiss on the cheek, Ross looked like he wanted to punch Riker in the face. I could see a sense of recollection in his face, and he sat down, dumb-founded. As everyone began digging in, everything was quiet. I cut a piece off of the toaster strudel and bit into it. Mmmmm..... I just LOVE mixed berry. He had made some sort of paste and smothered it in on the inside.

For the rest of breakfast, I ignored Ross. I cleaned the kitchen blasting some Childish Gambino, just to get my mind off of him. When I finished, I hopped up the stairs to my room. I studied for about 10 minutes, but I couldn't concentrate. I had these words constantly running around in my head. I grabbed my notebook and started writing down my thoughts. Eventually, they transformed into a song.

I sighed with relief as I read over the song. I thought it was actually beautiful. Then, I realized: It's about Ross.
