Chapter 29: Kiss me

Ross POV

Thank God the plane allowed me to text. I quickly scrolled through my contact list until I found her.

Text conversation

Ross: Babe.!

* 5 agonizing minutes later

Leilani: Yes Ross.?

Ross: I'm coming home.

Leilani: The tour must be over.

Ross: No, I just have a confession to make, and I gotta tell you in person.

Leilani: About what.?

Ross: You'll see.

Leilani: Goodnight Ross.

Ross: Goodnight, love.

I just can't wait.

Leilani POV

I turned off my phone screen and put my phone on the dresser. I turned around on the bed and snuggled next to Demond. He wrapped his muscular arms around me. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and went back to sleep.

*Next Day

I went ahead and went to the Lynch house and greeted everybody.

After about an hour or so of just hanging out with my second family, there was a knock on the door. Riker greeted that person, saying things like "We missed you bro." Sure enough, Ross emerged from the hallway and greeted his family. I stood up as he made his way over to me. He grabbed my waist and pulled me in for a kiss, but I just hugged him.

"Can I have a minute alone with LeilanI.?" He asked. His family cleared out. He pulled me down in the couch with him.

"I've missed you so much..." He whispered while staring into my eyes.

"Is that your confession.? " I giggled.

"No. My confession has two parts." He said. " The first is I think we should get back together. This separation thing isn't working out for me."

"Ross-" I started.

"Before you say anything, I have to finish. while I was trying to make it back here, Laura kissed me." His smile faded.

"Ok.? That has nothing to do with me." I said simply.

"But I thought-"

"Ross, we agreed to go our separate ways. Demond even kissed me. Ross, I think us separating is for the best. I'm so happy now. Not that I wasn't happy with you, but let's face it: its pretty hard to date someone who's famous. I know your fans flirt with you, and I know you flirt back, even when we were together. I'm tired of the pain, Ross. Demond makes me feel good. He's what I need. And maybe Laura its what you need."

" But we had sex twice.! You gave me your virginity.! "

"Sex doesn't mean that much to me. And it shouldn't if that's what you're using to get me back. I know you've had sex before. And I bet it was with Laura."

"I-I..."

" You what.? You know I'm right. So just forget about us. Forget about me." I said standing up. He jumped up and grabbed my waist.

"Ross, don't do this to yourself. Don't do this to me." I whispered with my hands in his chest.

"Please. Its just a goodbye kiss." He said with tears in his voice as he pressed his forehead into mine. He slowly leaned in and touched my lips. My stomach filled with butterflies just as it did the first time he kissed me.

Breaking my code of honor, I kissed back.

Ross gently bit my lip, and I melted in his arms.

But then I thought of Demond.

His lips were like soft pillows on mine.

His kiss was special too.

But Ross and I once had a relationship.

But didn't that mean that Demond deserves a chance.?

Yes, it does.

So how could I do this to him.?

I used all the strength I could and pulled away from Ross and dashed out of the door.

I just proved he sill had a chance.

I just fucked everything up.

Ross POV

I still have a chance.

She's still mine.

And she knows it.

But she has feelings for Demond.

How am I supposed to work around Mr. Wonderful.?

How to I win her back.?

This is going to be the hardest thing I'll ever do.

And I gotta go back on tour.

Fuck my life.

I'm brain dead.
