Chapter 11

Jane's POV

It was finally Saturday. I was watching Toy Story 3 with Noah when I got a message from William. He said that he wanted to take me and Noah out at 6 pm.

I guess this is one of his way to prove that he's change and he really wants me so I agreed to go out with him. But of course it's not a date, I mean, Noah is also going with us so it doesn't count as a date right?

When I got out from the shower I put on a dark denim jeans with a mint green top. Once I was finished changing Noah to one of his cute amazing outfit, I threw my hair into a messy ponytail. It was 5:40 pm when we were finished so for the next 20 minutes I packed my purse with my phone, keys and a packet of biscuit for Noah as well as watching a bit of SpongeBob while we're waiting for William.

At exactly 6 pm, I heard a loud knock on the door. Noah was filled with excitement as he ran and opened the door. Once the door was opened, we were greeted with a smile and charming blue eyes who belonged to no other than... William.

"Uncle Will!" Noah shouted cheerfully.

"Hey, buddy. Are you ready to go?" William took Noah's hand and hold it.

"Yes Uncle Will!"

"Alright, alright." William chuckled before he looked at me, "Hello Jane. You look beautiful. Anyway, we should probably get going."

"Thank you." I nodded and grabbed Noah's hand in mine.

We walked to his car and get in. William started the engine and began to drive. We drove for about 10 minutes before the car stopped outside a big funfair.

"A funfair?" I asked.

"Yeah, I thought that Noah would love funfairs." He said.

It warms my heart knowing that he actually thought about my son, Noah.

"Mommy, mommy look! It's a funfair!" I looked at Noah and smile adoringly. He has never been to a funfair before so it makes me happy seeing him this excited.

"This is his first time going to a funfair. I'm sure he's going to love it." I said to William.

I can tell that William looked a bit shocked but he didn't show it.

"Well then... what are we waiting for. Let's go!" William looked at Noah with a big smile that showed his teeth.

I grabbed Noah's hand as we followed William to the ticket booth.

"3 wristbands, please." William asked the ticket booth man. The man smiled and passed us the wristbands which we would wear to get on the rides.

I felt like a 5 year old girl again. I honestly can't wait to try all the rides and games.

We stayed at the fair for almost 2 hours riding all the rides, playing all the games and eating a lot of candy. We were about to leave when Noah saw a big teddy that he wanted. We went up to the game, payed for it and started throwing balls at the cans. We had to play like 8 times when William finally won that bear for Noah.

The man handed the bear to William and then William passed it over to Noah.

"There you go." William said.

"Thank you Uncle Will!" Noah said while hugging the bear on his left hand and hugging William's leg on his right hand.

William chuckled playfully before he squats down the same level as Noah and hug him. My heart flutters at the sight of them hugging. William is so good and nice to Noah, I didn't know he had this side of him. William would be such a great father someday.

Poor Noah, he need a father's love and care but I couldn't give it to him. But I'll do anything to be the best parent for Noah.

Tonight is definitely amazing, Noah looked so happy which makes me happy. William even won him the stuffed bear that he wanted which made him a double times happy.

"So are you guys hungry?" William asked us once we get in the car.

"Mommy, I'm hungry..." Noah whispered to me but of course William could still heard him.

"Well... let's go grab something to eat then." William said.

"That would be nice." I smiled at William.

William started the car and drove to a nearby diner, it took only 5 minutes to get there.

I had pasta while Noah ate chicken nuggets. I told him to eat something else but he demanded to have chicken nuggets. William always being nice to the kid of course he ordered a big plate of chicken nuggets for Noah.

After we payed for the food, we quickly got in William's car. When we got to my apartment Noah hugged William and said thank you. William kissed Noah's head before he let go of him.

"Thank you so much for tonight, William. I'm sure Noah had so much fun at the funfair." I said once Noah went to the room because he was already sleepy.

"No problem. I had fun too. He's such a fun kid, I should probably take him to funfair again." William said, smiling at the thought. "And... what about you? Do you had fun?" William asked me.

I nodded slowly with a small smile, "Of course I had fun. It's been a long time since I went to a funfair. God, I missed riding all those rides you know. Especially the ferris wheel, that was my favorite!" I blushed when I realized that I probably sounded like a kid.

"You're cute when you're blushing. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I would definitely take you out again next time, maybe without Noah? As in a date?" William asked carefully, wanting to take it slow and afraid of my answer.

I looked down at my feet as I felt myself blushing again, "Y-yeah, why not."

William only smile adoringly at me, "I should get going, you're probably tired after riding all those rides. Goodnight, Jane."

"Okay. Goodnight, William. And thanks again for tonight, I've never seen Noah so happy before."

"Jane, from now on I would do anything to make Noah happy. So if you ever need anything like a ride to go anywhere with Noah, just give me a call and I'll be there. You can count on me." William said.

I was stunned at his words. Is this real or just an act? I can't tell but I really hope he meant every words he said.

"Thank you, William. But I don't think we'll ever need anything from you and we also don't want to bother you. You're probably busy during the day-"

"I'm serious, Jane. You and Noah are my priority now. Just please, promise me you won't hesitate to call me if you'll ever need anything okay?"

"O-okay." I nodded.

I waved one last time at William before I closed the door.

I walked quietly to my room to not wake up Noah who was sleeping soundly on the bed. He looked so cute sleeping with the stuffed bear that William won for him. I was thinking to put the bear on the corner of my room but Noah hugged the bear so tight which almost impossible for me to take it from his hold. I changed into my pjs and jumped in bed beside Noah. I kissed Noah's head and went to a deep, peaceful slumber.
